installed via vortex bInvalidateOlderFiles=1, bEnableMessageOfTheDay=0 even reinstalled but still not working, maybe is not problem with your mod but actual bug in game caused with last update, example very low brightnes of flashlight in some areas almost no difference on and off.
And what jimbomodo said/made an remark about flashlight is maybe exact issue that sometimes flaslight is just buged for some stupid reason like most things with bethesda.

Wait, there's flashlights in the game?

not sure if you're being serious or sarcastic.
if you're being serious, yes there is flashlight in game. hold F to toggle them.

I think the biggest issue with this is that most people don't realize that it is a helmet light, not a standalone flashlight.

See, to me, Vanilla didn't look like an artifact, it looked like a different emitter shape; the way LED flashlights that have a shitty lens will have a square throw shape.

Not trying to throw shade, just to say it's not totally desynced with reality that a miner would have a flashlight mount that's just a bare-bones emitter with a weird throw.

You could look for versions adapted to the game's helmets. For example the Starborn helmet, its flashlight is two straight vertical lines. If it brings something like this to this, and gives us more freedom of choice, it will be the best mod for the flashlight. Thanks for your work, appreciated!

This mod is the only one that offers an improved version of the vanilla lightbar. Good job and many thanks for it!

Would a slightly dimmer version maybe be possible?

Can you make a version 2 with reduced brightness? Bloom mod installed to remove bloom but when standing close to a wall the flashlights still cause massive bloom.

I think something is not right with the Vortex method. It seems that the Texture directory isn't nested within the Data directory. Manual install worked fine for me though.

This mod seems to dim the flashlight to be less blinding, but doesn't actually change the texture of it (no I didn't accidentally select the vanilla - half brightness option). That said, now that I think about it, I prefer it this way cause if you look at the helmet of the player character, the fresnel lens-like beam pattern you selected makes no sense. And yes I have bInvalidateOlderFiles set to 1 cause the other mods I use require it.

Good mod; thanks for making it.

Installation Instructions need a little work. Or maybe I'm just an idiot.

It sounds insane because this is the only mod I've seen work with this, but it goes in the Documents\My Games\Starfield\Data\Textures
