Just release 2.1 which puts Cora on an entirely new swatch so her complexion changes don't override other kids in the game!

Update v2.1.1 should actually show her as intended, somehow the other versions all got uploaded as the base complexion change only. Safe to overwrite version 2.1

    edit:

Make sure in your plugins.txt that the dependency is higher:

Only found this mod because it was in a really big collection. I don't know if anyone here knows this. But you can have a different complexion than your parents. Not only is this normal, it's common.

The actual problem is the fact that Cora is a copy/paste of the model for at least 2 other child NPC's in totality.

Rarety is not the norm. One thing is a complexion because some melanine inbalance, the other is having a face from another ethnic group. Here is the thing, not only Bethesda is lazy, but they try to push a little on the woke narrative too. Rainbows, white guilt and such. Thank to God, I'm latin and I don't have white guilt like most americans do. Cora is adopted, that would be fine, or Sam is a big cuck. Hell, even I think her mother got cucked as well!

Endorsed.  You can also use the popular eye mod really helps too with characters. I completely support these kinds of mods.  So what I did to make cora appear as intended in the first place - and look they do not do themselves any favors - this game is actually really good, even without mods its pretty good.  But doing what this mod fixes just gets in the way.  As exampled later without the company tripping over itself or getting outside funding to make silly things in-game, when it does get out of its own way this game is pretty excellent.

Doing all the little tweaks like this (not so much mods but them too, the company makes it with mods in mind unfortunately)... well it turns things from average to nigh on great; when its not jarring, when its not tripping over itself and you get a few mods, its a fantastic product.  Thankfully only just got to that point and its a travesty so did not have to go far back in the story.  They need to stop doing that kind of thing.

I can confirm that you do indeed need to not have spawned in the NPC in order for it to properly appear; once you get the mod in prior it will work.  I used red pony tail version and added the dependency, also for some reason I use Mo2 and with that hid the Ba2 file, not sure if that is needed fully or not, but yeah now its working/regardless.  I think mods like this are fantastic, its very jarring.  Yeah its just a kid but when you consider they should not do this dei stuff so much, its not called for, and then add up 20 different issues you are going to want to sort it out.  Thanks for this mod.  Its our society, and this game already leans heavily into that kinda stuff, its far off putting.  That era should be ending now.

Any way I have had to mod these circumstances out of several titles recently.  Anti woke patches for Baldurs gate 3 that even go as far to change full dialogue in various places and make different NPC's whole other characters such as the Angel - in cases where you KNOW those NPC's were written to originally be male - then they should be male and that Mod used AI voice acting, really good.

That totally restores the game there.  As well as using all 15 or so companions at once.  Bizzare gameplay.

Another one was Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous, mods swapped out obviously meant-to-be male characters and adjusted plenty of other things.  It went from an average story to literally 90/100.

Its like in this game, as it was in those, you just do a search online for such mods, and it will turn average into great.

With all the Starfield mods I got now, its made it a very good game.  The DEI or the overly accommodating stuff and downright odd stuff just gets in the way of what would be/is a fine game.

Some mods I use  new procedure generations, the no contraband tweak - the console command "set set 0005BD98 to 0" to stop it from firing, shadows tweaks, starvival, peak AI, TN's oxygen and ships, and others, you know all those ones and this type of mod.  I really think Bethesda ought to take notice.  I even keep the game's original LUTs as I really dig the atmosphere but turn down film grain to 50%.

Don't want to come off as preachy about this, its real simple.  Well done and thank you!   This has become such a good title.

This doesn't appear to be working for me, with the dependency and loaded in the correct order. Is it broken for the latest patch?

Complexion, red hair, and ponytail are working in Dec 2024.  Thanks!   I was tired of Cora being identical to all other little girls in the game.

I highly doubt they will remove it considering this mod requires a mod that also add 4 not white skin tones. Nobody is making anyone download this mod lol

No idea how it was uploaded to Xbox (like which method they used) as it was not by me but I would guess they only uploaded the version that makes all the kids on Cora’s swatch lighter (the original version) and not the current version that requires the Skin Tones For Children dependency so it was likely overriding other kids in the game and between that the fact that whoever uploaded it didn’t really ask permission they probably removed it.

if someone wants to upload it and the dependency, then that would be fine with me if it’s uploaded properly. Now idk if Bethesda will still pull it down but if they’re using the technicality of it being out of date/they didn’t ask permission I give you my permission to reupload it.

I don’t play Xbox or even play SF anymore so won’t be personally uploading it.

I had this on xbox and can no longer find her, was it Bethesda that had it removed or are you updating it?

I've been searching for a way to make Cora look more like her parents and less like she was adopted; so, thank you.
v2.1 didn't work for me, but v2.0 did, so obvi' I'm using it; also, since children in Starfield are so rare, and teens 'non-existent, excepting the Adoring Fangirl mod, I won't even notice the side-effect of other children possibly changing a little from using v2.0 of this mod.
