"Ship Lasers" doesn't exist as a skill. I get you mean "Energy Weapon Systems", but it's confusing because Heller is listed as having "Ship Lasers", but he actually just has the personal weapon skill of "Lasers" instead. Description could use some edits.

Dani Garcia: Energy Weapon Systems 3
    Ezekiel: Energy Weapon Systems 4
    Heller: Lasers 2
Omari Hassan: Energy Weapon Systems 1

Good mod though! Adds a little bit more choice in crew which is great compared to vanilla. I think the goal of a mod like this should be trying to maximize the amount of decisions you need to make so it isn't as easy as picking the obviously correct choices and this mod does make progress towards that.

I feel instead of Stealth 3 he would have wellness 3 for meat shielding.
Adoring Fan - Weightlifting 4 (He is sworn to carry your burdens), Stealth 3, Concealment 1, Scavenging 1

It's installed, but it isn't working for me.
    It's spot in my LO:
    "
    *CraftableWeaponSkins_Quests.esm
    *CrewSkillOverhaul.esm
    *dmLegendaryRecycler.esm
    "

I just tested it, and while I've not really played much of Starfield yet to recall names, I'm in the Constellation city, and the potential crew in the cafe all have default info, at least in the top corner. I don't have the $ to afford them yet, so I can't see if they actually do have the mod's stats behind the scenes, but I doubt it.

Could I change it's spot in my LO to lower mid-game? And how likely is that to fix it?

I didn't write the plugin name in myself. I use this: https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/7595
Edit: just learned that that mod isn't needed with a vortex extension they have now.

It misses the SFCP patched keyword entry TeammateDontUseAmmoKeyword [KYWD:0023F1CA] for GideonAker and faction entry CrimeFactionUC "United Colonies" [FACT:0005BD93]for Hadrian

Just wanted to add. I was beating my head against the desk trying to figure out why this wouldn't work. Then I noticed when I copied the line, I had a trailing whitespace on the esm in the plugins file. Deleted it, saved the file, loaded just fine.

Been awhile but I spent 3 days trying to make this work, posting, googling, you name it. Gave up, then one last check and noticed it wasn't plugins.txt. I had pligins..txt. Yep, dot dot

Hi there.  I have a lot of mods so my apologies for it looking a bit busy.  My plugins.txt is as follows but you won't need all the entries of course:

Hi there.  First this is a great mod many thanks.  Secondly it does not seem to work for me.  I have CrewSkillOverhaul.esm in my Starfield Data folder (as installed by Vortex) and added *CrewSkillOverhaul.esm into my plugins.txt file.  I have many other mods in plugins.txt which seem to be working fine.  I just hired Marika Boros and n the hiring screen she shows with her standard skills as did Andromeda Kepler.

I was wondering if there is any limit on the number of .esm files you can have in your plugins.txt?  I have 34.

    Any advice please?

UPDATE: Don't worry I fixed it.  I had a feeling that maybe load order was something to do with it.  So I moved *SkillFixes.esm and *CrewSkillOverhaul.esm to the end of my plugins.txt and now I can see all the crew skills are updated.

Great idea! I have a request… I would like Vasco to be my R2D2 type of helpful repair robot. So I wish he had starship engineering rather than robotics or ballistics. Would it be possible to get a version of Vasco like that? I’m not sure if the mod can be edited by me, or you need to do it (just got up and looking at this on my phone).

You can just open the mod in xEdit and edit it however you'd like to.

Afaik I put permissions for anyone to just make a copy of my mod on here too.

But given I am still a bit unsure about Vasco's weapon. Changing to starship engineering might be good. Will consider

When I’ve seen Vasco fight, it’s with a built in laser gun of some kind. But please consider adding Starship Engineering as he’s perfect for helping with ship repairs.

Use the command console! Open the command console ingame by pressing the key ~ (or on a german keyboard the key ö).
      Now type
      000057BE.addperk 222f88

Now hit return and you will see that he has now the skill/perk Starship Engineering Level 1.
Do this again and he has Starship Engineering Level 2
Again the same and he has Starship Engineering Level 3

Ha... good idea... I didn't realize you could just add skills to companions through the console.  Makes sense.
