you already added those lines to your "StarfieldCustom.ini" in your "\Documents\My Games\Starfield\" folder? it is necessary to make the game load loose files.
I made a icon myself and followed your tutorial to the T, yet my weapon icon is now a green box. Can you please point out where did I made a mistake and how should I correct it?
hmm that's strange. I downloaded your image, replaced the shape in JPEX FF and it works fine in my game. if you didn't replace anything else I can send you the two hud files with your image.
Not sure if you are aware, there is a mod called - Slightly better weapon icons - that replaces the icons with images of the guns instead of a white solid color. The mod got past me for weeks before I found it and not sure many know of it yet. But appreciate the effort you put in to better the icons.

I updated the .gfx and .swf files with your new icons and saved them in the Data>interface folder.
What is the next step? The icons still show as vanilla in game.
I agree that your white icons look better than the other mod and would like to get yours working!
Thank you!

Also make sure you don't have any other interface mods installed that overwrite your files.

I did the replace of the shape/sprite for both weaponicons.gfx and weaponicons.swf - saved it - and opened the game but.. green squares for days :P
If anyone has a fix that would be amazing!
I kinda like the vanilla style but replaced my weapons with other Models. To make the hud icons go hand in hand with the model I replaced them.
Two different approaches.
