Woohoo, still working as advertised, with Starfield Update 1.15.216! \o/ (Steam / Manual installation)
Again, THANK YOU FSNovask, for this hella awesome and must-have mod! Still better than its vanilla counterpart! Still appreciatin' ya, friendo! ♥♥♥♥♥ o7 :D
I can't imagine why it wouldn't be, unless Watchtower adds a new system(s), in which case this mod would still work by showing everything from the base game, but it probably won't show the new system(s) added by Watchtower if you use the Always ON feature, and would probably only show if you use the normal vanilla method of showing star names, which is (Hold) LAlt key (by default).
PSA: This feature already exists in the game, it just doesn't tell you. Hold Left Alt on Keyboard or Right Bumper on Xbox Controller to show names. Not sure if this feature existed when this mod was first made, but it does now.
PSA: That feature has always been around, since game launch. This mod expands on that with more/better features. Instead of a Hold (which is kinda annoying when you want to move the map around a lot), this mod lets you Toggle ON/OFF, and if you even wanted, it can keep the names Always ON. Plus, there's an option for colour coding the systems by level of difficulty (as shown in the image gallery). :)
Need some advice. I had to reinstall windows and starfield on my laptop. This mod isn't working at all. I can find the files in the interface folder, however, I cannot find the .ini file. Any suggestions as to what can be going on? Thanks in advance.
after installation the ship and vehicle icons on the scanner have the question mark symbol inside of the white prism instead of the usual symbols, does anyone else have the same issue? if you do did you somehow fixed it?
If you're using any UI/HUD mods, and/or Subtitles/Dialogue mods, check with those, as that specific issue is related to one/some of those, and has been fixed. This mod only touches the star map, and wouldn't be causing this issue.
This happened to me using Simple Scanner HUD. This mod is corrupted and since the author has disappeared, I'm thinking of making a new one from scratch.
Hmmm well after the game update I was seeing all of the words with huge white lettering "You shouldn't be seeing this" led me to believe it required an update.
I'll give it another try.
Though I was at the time using MO2 as my organizer for a few years but with Starfield it's just a pain in the ass, I kicked it to the curb and am going with Vortex, see what happens now.
I stopped using mod managers years ago, and I've never had any problems since. I find Manual installs to be less problematic, and also helps me learn how things work, and how to troubleshoot if anything does go wrong (which is almost never). I find doing Manual installs/uninstalls educational and very insightful, but that's just me. *dorky chuckle* xP
I do however use LOOT on occasion, just to check for possible conflicts, when curiosity arises. :)
I may follow in your footsteps, This mod is working without question now that I switched to Vortex, It just goes to show that you can't go by what others say when it comes to MO2 Vs Vortex, MO2 worked OK for me with FO4 and Skyrim but Starfield it's been a pain in the ass.
When I switch to my Sim Rig PC and play FS22 it has no manager, it's all manual.
Don't get me wrong though, I acknowledge that Vortex/MO2 are great for conveniences, but for me I'm more comfortable doing things Manually, and I would rather have things be 'slightly less convenient, but trouble-free' rather than 'more convenient but also periodically problematic'. :D Also, doing things Manually fills my incessant need to tinker, lol. xP
