The hab uses the main interior wall as it's outside walls all.over the place. Can edit the .dds texture with paint.net to be whatever you want though. Save as a .dds file with bc7 compression and you're gravy. Paint.net is free.in Microsoft store.
I love your mods. Simple but nice additions. I am so grateful especially for retexturing the ugly green tents. Yay! But, I am also enjoying some of the clothing colors. I love the black and grey.
A while back, I tried to make all the habs a very dark grey/black, but with absolutely no success haha, I wonder if it was meshes/nif files & not just textures? If so that would be classic dumbass bethesda... Will try again soon!
I actually think this looks really good... Except it's a little too white IMO... Any chance of having a "weathered white" version, that's, well, weathered and a bit dirty? IMO the current white walls just look too clean and stark, especially when some sections are patched up with duct tape, etc, as if they've already seen a fair amount of use if in need of patching up...
Overall, I definitely prefer the white look over the green, but the current white is just too clean and tidy IMO...
yeah, the bleeched white is too much. I would go with a more greyish look, so white becomes a more dusty/used look, not that hospital sterile white. I like the other color variants, but not the logos all around, especially on roofs.
The opiintclothpanels01_color.dds Is the lynchpin of the themes, it won't change everything but will change the primary color and logos for the walls.
You can download paint.net through Microsoft store for free, open the file, adjust brightness or add sepia and tweak it to get the cream or dirty white I think you want, then save as a .dds with bc7 compression, replace in the mod folder.
I really wanted to go for the constellation version but it's a little OTT, could you make a version with way less constellation logos and maybe a few stroud logos discreetly placed, that being said I've gone for the NASA one as I love the interior, and I will be changing it up with crimson fleet one for my badboy playthrough
but have to say fantastic work on the others, I've always disliked the stock habs they feel very rushed and uninspired your mod certainly takes care of that
Yea its really the large hex Habs with too many logos, but it's the compromise to make in order for the inside walls on the four wall Habs to look as good. I can already switch the materials around with mesh edits and remove sime of the logos, just need to set aside the time to tinker with it so it looks worth another upload.
I'm having an issue of the clean white textures not showing up in game. They are installed at C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Starfield\Data\textures\architecture\outpost\outpostindustrial folder like they should be. I also have done the ini edit but still they are the stock textures. I have a few other mods installed that are working just fine. This is the only texture mod I am using but they just aren't showing up. I even tried starting a new game with no luck.
Starfield is weird and has two data folders. instead of your steam folder, try putting them into your mydocuments/mygames/starfield/starfield/data/textures
