How I fixed the problems with textures (maybe this will be useful to someone):
First I downloaded: 1a. NV4 Assault Rifle
Then I downloaded: 2a. Legendary Version Textures
Then I downloaded: Alt Sight (this is my choice)
Then I downloaded: NV4 Flatline Version - Black Textures
And finally I downloaded: NV4 Original Version - Black Textures
I unzipped all this into one folder in the order given above. Cut and pasted to C:\Users\*******\Documents\My Games\Starfield\Data
I thought it was only 1a. NV4 Assault Rifle is responsible for the Maelstrom textures. As it turned out, not only. You must download 2a. Legendary Version Textures so that there are no problems with textures.
I assume this is intentional to get the realistic look on the Alt red dot, but the transparent part of the texture that the red dot is on is visibly floating in front of the sight. Or is that just me? Maybe it's one of my mods that affect glass?
It's a conflict. Yu may notice now all your guns with that scope or sight do this. I had that issue and was never able to figure it out. Just did a reinstall and carefully added mods and it never happened. I think it may be this mod because this is the one I didn't install this time through (Got the SIG replacement for Maelstrom instead). But I may switch back to this because the SIG mod isn't compatible with the long barrel. Let me know if you figure out what is causing this
alternatively somebody could make a mod that gives the Maelstrom more damage, that would then help to make it suck less no matter what skin you throw at it...

Any plans to add this as a replacer for the Kodama as it is more damage than the maelstrom at least until modders have release a combat overhaul for all the weapons.
