About this mod

If you could take one movie to space, what movie would that be? This mod adds 27 different labels for the VHS tape. Now you can add your favorite movie to the game!

Having just a blank VHS tape was boring. So I added a bunch of old VHS labels. I tried to include movies that you could probably still find in a distant future.

For now you can pick one of those labels:

  • A Space Odyssey
  • Aliens
  • Back To The Future A / B / C (couldn't decide what label to add so I included three different ones)
  • Back To The Future 2
  • Die Hard
  • Ghostbusters
  • RoboCop
  • Star Wars
  • Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back
  • Star Wars: Return Of The Jedi
  • Clean label
  • Porn A
  • Porn B

Keep in mind I used 3d software to take those screenshots. So all of those tapes should look much better in the actual game,
Sorry I couldn't provide actual screenshots, my gaming pc died and I currently can't afford a new one so I'm doing what I can.

UPDATE 1.1
I included a new file called New Geometries as separate download. Its a new 3d model of the tape that removes that black dot/hole from the label. This was created by the user Affectionato who kindly allowed me use it in my own mod. Be sure to check his VHS Tape - Dragon Ball Z The History of Trunks.

How do I install this thing?

1. Download the mod

2. Extract Data folder to C:\username\Documents\My Games\Starfield

3. In the same location create StarfieldCustom.ini (if you don't have it already) and add these lines:

bInvalidateOlderFiles=1
sResourceDataDirsFinal=

How to remove it?

  • Simply remove this folder - c:\<username>\documents\my games\starfield\data\textures\setdressing\earth\artifacts\vhs_tape



P.S. - My PC broke and I currently can't afford a new one... So no more Starfield for me... If you like my mods and want me to make more, even the smallest donation would be HIGHLY appreciated <3
