I am curious, what program are you using to edit dds files? I have tried photoshop and gimp and an error message comes up and say that this is unsupported. can you help or give me a tip for how to open the files? !
Photoshop you need a plugin, this one: https://gametechdev.github.io/Intel-Texture-Works-Plugin/
Gimp isn't that good for it, but originally I used paint.net because it has a built in dds save: https://www.getpaint.net/download.html
Though I do recommend the plugin for PS as its just a case of working on it and saving instead of saving as a JPEG then putting it into paint.net to save it as a dds etc.
