To all those awaiting a patch for StarUI Inventory or simply wondering if the two mods are compatible: Yes, they are compatible, and no, you don't need a patch anymore. You may be wondering how to make them compatible. It's not very complicated:
First, install Undelayed Menu, and then StarUI Inventory(overwrite Undelayed Menu files). Once that's done, you just need to edit the file "Data\Interface\StarUI Inventory.ini" and locate the line "bInstantOpenCloseAnimation" and set it to "bInstantOpenCloseAnimation = 1". Save the file, and you're done.
This mod interferes with the Astrolabe mod by u/Zorglub01 on Creations. I don't know the exact mechanism of interaction, but with this mod loaded, that one won't show up, even though Report Load Order shows it enabled.
If I disable galaxystarmapmenu.swf and galaxystarmapmenu_lrg.swf from Undelayed Menus by changing their file extensions, the mods peacefully coexist, but obviously the starmap menus are delayed.
Hello, thank you for this essential mod. I'm experiencing a strange bug on my installation. I removed all other mods except SFSE to see who was the culprit.
Unfortunately, every time I activate the mod, I lose the sound of the gunshots.
Would it be possible to get a patch for the Starfield Compendium creation by Ideki? That creation makes a small change to datamenu.swf to add an option to open the Compendium.
Unfortunately incompatible with StarUI as of the current game and mod versions, even when adjusting load orders etc. Overwrites StarUI and causes it not to work at all even after following the comment's instructions about it.
1) follow installation instructions in pinned post 2) load StarUI AFTER Undelayed Menus (Vortex will suggest to resolve conflicts) 3) don't forget to "...edit the file "Data\Interface\StarUI Inventory.ini" and locate the line "bInstantOpenCloseAnimation" and set it to "bInstantOpenCloseAnimation = 1""
I expect to hover around 50-60 FPS with my monitor not being able to support any better then that so I'm just taking the 60 FPS version but curiosity makes me question what disastrous fate could be the possible cause for this mod needing separate versions? Honestly I can never tell the difference between anything after 60-80 in real time anyway but I have bad eyes.
After some testing and shuffling with load orders, it appears I can't get this mod to work alongside my ultrawide screen support mods and this mod causes my menus to have a weird band.
It looks like the datamenu.swf this mod uses as a base is outdated, pre gameplay options update, so the icons for sustenance are missing. Had to open the swf file in JPEXS to track down the issue. Which is interesting cause the mod was last updated in August 2024, after that update came out.
Best bet would be to let another mod overwrite the datamenu.swf file, such as the 60FPS UI mod.

You now have the best of both worlds!
