1.3 should be the final version. I still wasn't happy with 1.2, as I found myself almost never using the slower walking speed (also because it does not seem to affect stealth) and additionally I still found the faster walking (NPC speed) too slow for when I wanted to walk fast (but not run) around settlements.
So 1.3 addresses that and now finally we have F2 for vanilla speed, F3 to match NPC's for "follow me" quests and F4 for what I call "marching speed", which is the fastest speed you can use without your character going into running animation.
The jogging speeds were not changed from 1.2 and are still the same.
Not sure. You seem to have [General] section title twice in the Custom file, could be that? When you press the hotkey in game, and then open the console, does it display the command? I.e. if you press F3 it should effectively display "player.forceav speedmult 100" as if you typed it manually. Is this the case?
Not on this site a whole lot anymore, BUT I have it set up correctly as far as I can tell and pressing F3 does not display that. Checking bindings now to see if that's an issue.
Let's talk speedmult .. you currently have these settings:
F2=player.forceav speedmult 100 F3=player.forceav speedmult 124 F4=player.forceav speedmult 140 Shift-F2=player.forceav speedmult 60 Shift-F3=player.forceav speedmult 70 Shift-F4=player.forceav speedmult 80 It seems that lower is faster (60 70 80 are lower than 100 124 140) .. BUT it also seems that 60 (the lower number for jogging) is slower than 80.
This seems strange to me .. so it seems there is a range that is walking (and it has higher numbers overall) .. but inside that range (whatever min and max are), the opposite is true (higher is faster and lower is slower).
The changes this mod makes to movement is to make walking faster and running slower in order to more easily keep pace with NPCs, so these numbers make perfect sense in that context. If you were to hit Shift-F2 while walking, it would make you walk very slowly, while hitting F4 while running would make you run very fast indeed.
Very usefull mod, ty! Is there a way to seperate the walking speed from the jogging speed so i can use the F3 mode for walking but jogging speed stays at default speed?
Unfortunately not when using this method, as speed multiplier is shared between walking and running movement modes, so it multiplies the speed regardless of which mode the player character is in.
I like this mod, but I liked the slower jog speed the best. It allows the character to go faster than a walk, but slow enough that I can see what is around. So, I am sorry to see that one deleted. But as I said, I like this mod.
The slower jog are in the latest version. Shift + F2/3/4 :) You need to set your character to run mode, then press the given key. F2/3/4 are for walking speeds and with Shift for running, but you need to switch between walk and run manually.
Hi, just reinstalled the game after a bug, and there is something I can't understand yet. It's like my character was lock on super run speed position ... Shortcurts don't work anymore ---------------------------------------------------------- I copied paste StarfieldConsole.ini (in \Documents\My Games\Starfield)
Yes, you have spaces here: "b Use Console Hotkeys" - remove them. I have inserted the spaces, as Nexus cuts any code that includes the word "console" (something to do with Java security, juding by the text that it gets replaced with). If you read the instructions, it does mention to remove the spaces :)
:EDIT:
I think this is actually wrong too: sStartingCjavascript-event-strippedbat LockpickCheat
This is precisely what Nexus does. Not sure what mod this is, but check the instructions. "javascript-event-stripped" is the text that Nexus inserts instead of "console" if that word is part of a code.
Thank you so much for your reply my good sir :) Yes my bad ... reinstalling all my mods was tense enough yesterday, and was too fast with yours. I check it now
Edit : Oh I understand, indeed nexus modified the code when I pasted it ... but it's ok inside the custom.ini , and works as intended in game
[General] sStarting Console Command = bat LockpickCheat (without the spaces)
This part is related to lockpick minigame mod cheat Easy Digipick (Lockpick) (must have mod :) )
Edit 2 : It's working ! So good to have your great mod back, thank you again for all.

I think that's it now for this mod :)
I don't know why he doesn't have any effect on me; pressing the hotkey doesn't bring up any error messages either.

Either which way, good mod. Was needed. Much appreciated!
F2=player.forceav speedmult 100
F3=player.forceav speedmult 124
F4=player.forceav speedmult 140
Shift-F2=player.forceav speedmult 60
Shift-F3=player.forceav speedmult 70
Shift-F4=player.forceav speedmult 80
It seems that lower is faster (60 70 80 are lower than 100 124 140) .. BUT it also seems that 60 (the lower number for jogging) is slower than 80.
This seems strange to me .. so it seems there is a range that is walking (and it has higher numbers overall) .. but inside that range (whatever min and max are), the opposite is true (higher is faster and lower is slower).
Is this really correct?

Thanks.
thank you
Thank you Elenear, do you think it disables achievements, I'm very close to my 100% ?

I copied paste StarfieldConsole.ini (in \Documents\My Games\Starfield)
[Macros]
spd=sucsm 3
[Hotkeys]
F2=player.forceav speedmult 90
F3=player.forceav speedmult 100
F4=player.forceav speedmult 124
Shift-F2=player.forceav speedmult 60
Shift-F3=player.forceav speedmult 70
Shift-F4=player.forceav speedmult 80
-----------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------
And edited my own StarfieldCustom.ini, which now looks like that :
[Archive]
bInvalidateOlderFiles=1
sResourceDataDirsFinal=
[Camera]
bFadeCollidedActorsInPhotoMode=0
# Default is 1
fPhotoModeCameraRange=50
# Default is 25.0
fPhotoModeCameraSpaceRange=600
# Default is 300.0
fPhotoModeCameraTranslationSpeed=10
# Default is 2.0
fPhotoModeCameraSpaceTranslationSpeed=50
# Default is 10.0
[General]
sStartingConsoleCommand=bat LockpickCheat
[Menu]
b Use Console Hotkeys = 1
----------------------------------------------------------
Do you see any problem please? Thank you for help
