    Looking for a dark version?

Please checkout my other mod RTM's Mark 1 Spacesuit - Dark!

It's easily the best retexture for the Mark 1. I hope this gets updated to work as an esm or uploaded to creations.

Hi, I'm looking for an advice, as I'm new to retexture stuff :). I've tried to add skill patches to your outfit - similar to what we can see on constellation companions space suits.

But soon as I save dds texture with my edits in it, in game it become faded, when comparing to rest of the suit -> https://ibb.co/5M9TFkx

Your light and dark suits are the best looking ones I've seen so far.

    Absolutely killed this.

Any chance to get this in a all Black and/or a black and blue instead of red?

Thanks so much. My fav helmet as well.

This is amazing, I love it.
Suggestion: How about adding the skill patches to the left shoulder of the Explorer background? I know you can get 2 of them, Astrodynamics and Lasers, from Sarah's constellation spacesuit textures. Don't know if Surveying has a skill patch anywhere though.
It would fit the armor really well.
I would do it myself, but for some reason, whenever I edit textures in Gimp, it messes everything up and makes the entire texture super bright ingame.

    Anyway, love the texture!

I couldn't agree more, I personally saw the pilot patch on Sam's suit
      But I don't know if it's just a texture or a mesh?

Cheers for the feedback guys, I will consider doing something with the patches - the right patch would really add something to the suit (even if it's just an option rather than the main file - potentially something to be added to a retex of the Constellation Helmet?). I am planning on learning how to edit outfit meshes for Starfield as I only have limited knowledge from bashing stuff and fixing clipping in the past - so there's likely a steep learning curve behind the sheer luck that's seen me through in the past.

Mesh editing will be awesome when it finally arrives.
The patches will hopefully be something that isn't a pain in a certain part of your anatomy if you decide to add them =)

Can we have a Constellation helmet replacer for this too?

Hi! I hope whomever is reading this is having a great day. And to the mod author: Thank you for offering your work for us to use!

"RTM - Mark 1 Spacesuit Retexture 2" folder needs to be removed to allow the downloads to be compatible with Vortex. Nothing should come before the Data folder. So when you go to make the files an archive, just right-click the Data folder and start the archive from there. Don't put the Data folder into another folder. :)

Also, if users want to use the MO2 mod manager without worry about things not getting installed in the right place, they should use Baka Disable My Games Folder. With how Bethesda changed where mods go with Starfield, I think that mod can be pretty mandatory to relieve some headaches or confusion. [Vortex mod manager has implemented its own fix for this and using that mod with Vortex can cause issues.]

** Note: the Baka Disable My Games Folder mod doesn't fix mods being uploaded with incorrect file structure (like putting folders before the Data folder. That might work with the "MO2" mod manager, but not Vortex. So that's something users will need to request/discuss with the mod authors.)

I hope this info helps someone out there in this great big universe!

Edit: Whoops! Just realized I already commented on one of your other mods already. Sorry for the spam!

I'm assuming that's why it's not working for me through Vortex? As a matter of fact, non of the texture mods work for me. Gamepass version of the game. I download all mods through vortex but they never work. 🤷🏿‍♂️

Greetings, the issue NeuroticPixels pointed out should have been fixed as of version 2.1 onwards - I've checked box 3.0 files just now and they each appear to have the correct file structure in place.

That said, I'm not sure if there's anything game-pass-specific to bare in mind that might be throwing a curve ball - I've got the game through Steam.

Sorry, I don't know anything about getting mods to work with the Gamepass version. :(

Hey y'all! I have a new guy question, I can't seem to get this to work, I installed it through Vortex, and I have the Baka AE, SFSE, and a Reactor Count mod installed already, and they seem to work properly, but I missed this part and that might be why I'm not seeing the skin?

I can't seem to find this StarfieldCustom.ini file

    INI File
Before installing, you need to add the following to your StarfieldCustom.ini:

    [Archive]
    bInvalidateOlderFiles=1
    sResourceDataDirsFinal=

I do appreciate any help, and then you for creating this mod, I'm pumped to try it out!!

Howdy - no troubles cowboy - you have to make the StarfieldCustom.ini yourself:

      • Go to "...Documents\My Games\Starfield"
      • Then create a text file called "StarfieldCustom" - without the quotes (right click > new text document)
      • Then open the doc, and paste in the 3 lines from the mod Description
      • Then - instead of saving - go to File > Save As... and alter the ".txt" aspect of the file to ".ini"

This should let you install this and other texture replacement mods without issue, best of luck!

      Alrighty,
I went into that folder and there was already an ini file by that name, but it was empty. So I c&p the 3 lines like this:

      [Archive]
      bInvalidateOlderFiles=1
      sResourceDataDirsFinal=

      And then saved it.

Do I need to reinstall the mod?

I hate to be a bother, still learning how to mod this one and I don't want to screw anything up.

      thanks for the help. ;-)

No worries at all good fellow - you shouldn't need to reinstall the mod. If you are installing by Vortex, it should now be able to do it's thang (allow the retexture to be visible in game) and if you are installing manually then you should be good to go too. Hope it works for you and was worth your time!
