Hi there, I apologize if I sound like a complete noob when it comes to mods (I am) or if I am asking for clarification of the obvious, but can someone tell me if I'm understanding this correctly? I just simply download these files, then once its downloaded I drag the files INTO another folder on my PC? And then just run the game and use in-game type (clicking ~) and type "outpostmats.bat"?
I have almost zero experience with modding games so please be patient with me lol. I'm not very computer savvy, I just like to play games.
Not sure if you figured it out or not by now but I'll clarify just in case.
Extract the files (outpostmats.txt & outpostmatscont.txt) into the games main folder (where Starfield.exe is located [This is typically located at "C:\Program Files(x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Starfield"]), then whilst in-game press ~ and type in "bat outpostmats" (without quotes) and press enter. Do the same with outpostmatscont if needed.
Mod Idea , Automatic Outpost furnish. Basically it furnishes a outpost module dependent on its purpose eg kitchen dining lounge, bedrooms, armoury, workshop, lab, greenhouse.??
1. just who exactly is making you download this. 2. that is your opinion and not a fact. constantly moving inventory is what ruins a a game to me but again that is an opinion cant build this cant build that it is like stfu game
This kid wouldn't know what "optional" was if it slapped him in the face. He posts crap like this on literally every game board that has mods, even if it is a single player game and doesn't effect his own gameplay at all. He just doesn't believe in people having options. Just ignore this kid.
They ruin the game for you and me but not everyone is the same as us. You should know by now that a game can be enjoyed in more ways than one depending on the individual.
Grinding for digital resources is the flip side of the evil micro transactions coin. It's fake content that lazy devs use to pad out their games. "Let's make the player grind for 1000 hours in a single player game, lol! It will make it look like everyone is playing our game longer and having a great time!"
Nope. I did the same in FO4, eliminated materials costs with mods. That way I can mod my thousands of mod added weapons as easily as I like. Now THAT is how I like to spend 1000 hours
you endorsed a mod that brings your ship to you instead of having to slowly walk back over-encumbered. you cheat too so, foh. let people play how they want.
I was just forced to download this and I am also being forced to actually use it... By the fact that it TAKES FOREVER to grind the materials to build multiple functioning outposts. I would rather go and explore and quest because ya know I already have over 400 hours in the game and am just NOW getting into outpost building and I am already tired of grinding. LOL
All you have to do is put the batch files in your Data Folder, then while in game type "outpostmats.bat" to add them to your inventory. or click on a container while the console is open and type "outpostmatscont.bat" and it will place them in the container.
Any chance of a mod to replace construction resources with money? Crushing 20 grapplegrommits into a 100 yard wide landing platform is anathma to immersion, just being able to PAY for it would vastly improve the game.
Some resources I found missing to build stuff like Reactor - Advanced: Vytinium Fuel Rod, Rothicite Magnet. Others: Lubricant, Microsecond Regulator, Iridium, Plutonium, Luxury Textile, Silver, Water, Comm Relay. Thanks again for the mod
hello, this is a nice mod, i suggest you put a version without the player.additem but just additem so it's possible to add directly to the ship or a container

They might but after you've Done NG+ 6-7 times. You might want to experiment and have fun instead of grinding resources for outposts
