Golden, your mod works for me.  That other mod you link for whatever reason does not.

Great mod!  I am wondering if you know how to change the positioning of the camera height and angle as well.  That would be nice to know.

I will be endorsing when I am able.  Thanks.

EDIT:  I will check out the mod links you've provided below for more info.

Is it possible to achieve the opposite effect? As in set it to '2' and skip the close camera and only have one increment, the far camera.

I'm afraid not. Or i don't know how, for the moment, but i'm gonna try to find you a solution.

Sorry, i'm just starting to play with the settings, and i'm not sure of what do mostly of them.

      Ok.
Impossible right now. Ini settings don't work with camera like they did in Skyrim or Fallout. Now it works with animations, and i don't know how to mod that.

I suggest you to keep an eye in the mods  Consistent Third Person Camera and Unified Camera - Third Person Tweaks. In their post there is info about it, and even some fixes.

Sorry pal, i'm just a noob modder for this tipe of request.

GoldenblooD your description mentions your attempt at shoulder swap is half broken...have you discovered how to adjust the camera's position? if so i'm trying to just center the character in 3rd, think you can help? ( i use the smart aim mod for snapping into first person so accuracy in third is not important )

Unified Camera - Third Person Tweaks is already working on that.
I'm far for knowing how to do that changes for myself, so i recomend you to track that mod to see if there is any update or if someone in the comments has ideas about it.

I'm sorry, but for now, modding without ck is what it is.

Does this work with a controller?

      No.

      Instead, you can use

      fFarCameraDistanceOffset=1.0
or any other value that fits your taste.

      Default is 2.2
If you set it to 1 you can get a closer zoom out, nearly the distance of the first zoom position, but you can see the whole pistol.

Sorry my friend, right now it's the only thing i can do :(

Oh ok. I already have that setting at 2.5 that you suggested.
I use both controller while m/kb is still enabled so i guess i can still use this; just have to lean my ass forward time to time lol

I don't know why but the base zoom in 3rd person is always the same, no matter what setting. Also, the steps to zoom in/out work strange, if i avoid the first person, everything is ok, but if i go from first to third, then at first i must zoom out all the distant, and then, everything start to work properly.

Unhappy with the results, i can't let this in such mess.

      My apologies

You can use a controller with this. You'll need to download the script for mixed inputs and bind mouse wheel up and down to something.

Personally, I use A+R1= mouse wheel up
      And A+L1= Mousewheel down

Didn't even know (i play with k/m, so controller is a soulsborne thing that i barely touch out of those games).

      Thank you for the info!

thank you for mod! However, Is there a way to prevent zooming in when aiming in third-person view?

I've actually been playing with this and other related settings recently. You can do some pretty cool stuff with it. For example: if you set the fFarCam to 0.25, adjust the camera speed and then change the actual maximum amount of zoom steps allowed to like 10, you can get a pretty good smooth camera.

It's just buggy though. In my experience your only able to adjust the value once the value becomes a float value of 1 (far cam). Only then can you increment in and out.
