About this mod

Set how many steps of zoom you want in 3rd person, instead of just 2.

Permissions and credits

Simple:

Open "StarfieldCustom" in your Documents/ My Games/ Starfield/ with a text editor.

Copy/Paste

[Camera]
fMouseWheelZoomIncrement=0.5

and change 0.5 with any number between 0 and 1.

Save changes and play.

Thanks A LOT to SlowCircuit for the mod Complete Complete StarfieldCustom INI File (For Reference), wich i used to play with the camera values.

Mil gracias majo! Eres un crack!

Note: Default setting is 1. That gives you 2 positions when zooming: close and far.
If set to 0.5, then there will be 3 positions: close, half and far.
If set to 0.25, 5.
I know that at this point everyone understood how it works, even with my catastrophic use of this language.

Also, for the setting to work "as intended", after First person, you must zoom out to the furthest before the zoom steps work. No fix on sight.

ACCESSDENIIED

You can use a controller with this. You'll need to download the script for mixed inputs and bind mouse wheel up and down to something.

Personally, I use A+R1= mouse wheel up
And A+L1= Mousewheel down

Ah, the download file is just the document from the mod Base StarfieldCustom.ini to Enable Loose File Mods (Now with sTestFile ESP Loading Support), mine is not necessary at all, but i have to put something. Next time i think i will use my screenshots, i think that they have more value.

FYI

The camera works differently in Starfild than in previous games. The Ini settings do not affect practically any camera values, they are now subject to animations. And no matter how much I search, the closest thing there is right now is the mod Consistent Third Person Camera and Unified Camera - Third Person Tweaks, both better modders than me and already reaching some goals looking for swap shoulder camera, skipping the first position in 3rd person, and centering de camera (plus other features, like no zooming when aiming and similar cameras to all weapons types).

So, instead of segmenting the information that is discovered between different mod pages, I find it more productive to try to unify forums so that the information remains more accessible to everyone and collaboration is facilitated between all of us, who are pursuing the same objectives.
I'll keep looking for solutions, but i don't know what i going to achieve. Until then, try the mentioned mod pages to find solutions to those camera issues, you will probably find it there than here.

Sorry.
