So I followed and double-checked I did everything correctly using Option B. But now my game won't start. Luckily I made backups of both Data folders. I don't even know what to ask here. Are you sure the Data folder in Documents\My Games\Starfield\ needs to be deleted? Why would the game have 2 if they weren't needed? I dunno, I guess I'll retry and see if A works.
Edit: I'm a smoothbrain. Instead of merging the data folder with the one in steamapps I completely replaced it. It's working now.
