Game Update Information The mod uses signature scanning to find the correct address for the patch. It doesn't need updates until SFSE refuses to load it or it stops working after Bethesda changes the code I modify, in which case I have to change my code as well. However, the SFSE itself must be updated after each game update! Make sure to update the Starfield Script Extender (SFSE) for the version of the game you're using before reporting that the mod is not working.
Users of the ASI Loader version don't have to care about updates until the mod stops working. But, if you use the binkw32.dll of the ASI Loader, each game update will overwrite the DLL with the original one. Make sure that your ASI Loader is installed correctly after each game update.
Thanks to the byte pattern signature scan, the mod verifies the integrity automatically, therefore it should never crash your game, if the code mismatches after a game update. It will simply stop working.
Bug Reporting If you're 100% sure that you're using the right SFSE for your game version and you still have trouble with the mod, please provide following information, if you want to report an issue.
Your game version and update version (Steam/GamePass/Cracked, version 1.7.36 etc.)
Which mod version are you using, SFSE or ASI
Your installation method, if you're using Vortex, MO2 or manually.
Provide content of log files. For SFSE all logs should be in the Documents directory (C:\Users\(windows user name)\Documents\My Games\Starfield\SFSE\Logs\), there I need the content of sfse.txt, sfse_loader.txt and SF-Zero-Weight.log files. For the ASI version, if you use the v1.1.1 or higher the log file SF-Zero-Weight.log should be in the (game root)/Plugins/ directory. For GamePass and v1.0.0 there are no logs, sorry.
For GamePass users for whom it does not work delete the files bink2w64.dll and bink2w64Hooked from the game dir open XBOX app select Starfield - Manage - Files - Verify and Restore after that run the procedure here Ultimate ASI Loader and in case you need have not done it also use this Plugins.txt Enabler v1.2
I doubt that they will change how the weight system works any time soon, if at all. Just make sure SFSE is up to date, or if you use the ASI Loader (which you must use in case of the Game Pass version) that the update hasn't overwritten the ASI Loader DLL.
Hello, I'm using the ASI loader version and it seems to work fine with the default settings for xero weight. However, if I edit the 'SF-Zero-Weight.toml' file to set the weight to say 0.25, upon starting the game, the file gets replaced with the default one that has fractionOfWeight value set to 0.0. I have taken a look at the log and it shows this: [01/17/24 14:04:45][info](Logger.hpp:208) Logger init - SF-Zero-Weight 10102 [01/17/24 14:04:45][info](main.cpp:71) Game: Starfield.exe [01/17/24 14:04:45][info](main.cpp:41) Found hook address: 7ff68e830ae8. Game base: 7ff68ce30000 [01/17/24 14:04:45][info](main.cpp:42) Settings->FractionOfWeight: 0 [01/17/24 14:04:45][info](main.cpp:49) Hook applied
So looks like it's the mod forcing the default value on the toml file. Any clue on how can I fix this?
Game is up to date (v 1.8.88), I'm using the ASI loader version (v 1.1.2) through Vortex.
Hi, you're probably editing the wrong file. For the ASI version the SF-Zero-Weight.toml should be in the root directory of the game. You can simply delete it, start the game and see where it will be created. I just double checked with the latest BETA update 1.9.47.0, for the Steam version it works like stated above.
Had to use the ASI version for steam with the SFSE ASI Loader. Other Weightless mods would not work for some reason. User beware though that these Weightless mods will affect the ability in acquiring certain skill upgrades. Worked great though!
Thank you so much for this mod. For me the best mod, because i MUST loot everything and i am to lazy to go back again and again ;) Also i can store everything, even in my captain´s locker. And i can let the outposts mine how much they want without taking care all the time because the storages are full. Now every storage is infinite. As a candy i use also "No more junk loot" and the game became so much better for me. So again Thanks alot.
