if you do the setgs iDaysToRespawnVendor 0 setting vendor reset to 0 days, they have infinite money. you dont even have to quit the screen or do any commands to get them to refresh. which makes more sense for the mega corps. the smaller traders dont seem affected.
It also refreshes their inventory every time you buy or sell something from them. Which can be annoying and unimmersive. So keeping the bat files up can be good.

Yes they have infinite money, But, they will not afford to pay full price for some high value items, so both 0 days vendor respawn and this allows you to chillax at red mile and sell all your naughty things you might have picked up on your travels and get their full price. EI'll get the bartenders (red mile) ref in a bit and update if its not on there also shiptech's as well, daaaaamn they are unable to afford to buy what they sell, where's the logic in that?
ah, yeah, i only just noticed that each transaction refreshes their inventory with that. i have a thing where i never buy things from vendors. so the config fix is only really going to be good if you're like me in that regard.
a single gun can sell for over 5K, vendors need a 20K base minimum , if you steal ships, you get a massive amount of guns to sell when that stolen ship is sold and all its items are put in your cargo hold. Game is whack that I have to fly to 3 different cities to try and sell items, and I dont want to sit on a park bench for two days because thats even more silly.
I think anything buy or sell is handled in the same way, not as granularly as individual sets of items, so, until we can make esp's to handle stuff on an object by object basis and adjust its price, we are outta luck, although, remember that we should eventually be able to make all the esoteric crafting things so that will unbalace everything again if we can buy a bunch of stuff for x (a lot) and then make things and sell for y (vastly inflated prices).
One solution for your problem is to change the base modifier for sell-prices usually it's 0.125 (12.5% or 1/8) of the value of the item. Meaning this is the price you get for selling items (it gets a little better with Commerce skill but not much).
setgs fVendorSellPriceMult 0.5
I set it to 0.5 in my game. It is just breaking even with crafting. So you can buy resources from vendors, craft and sell stuff for a small gain.
However this changes the sell-price of all items including weapons and armor which suddenly bring a lot more money when selling.
