Thanks for this. Found it by googling, actually. It's nice having a mod like this, cause this game's cutscenes are kinda ridiculous in terms of length. The worst offender, though, is the ending cinematic + credits. Reminds me of Fable, honestly. And just like Fable, those unskippable ending cutscenes should have been left back in the dark times of 2005. Anyway, nice work on this.
THANK-YOU! Bethesda has absolutely NO respect for your time with this game between pointless videos, bullet sponges and, endless NPC jabber which adds NOTHING but is just pissing in your ear.
Very helpful, but I have one suggestion: Tell people to rename the files that are being replaced first, if they have any intention of reverting to normal behaviour, without the trouble of going through file verification and download (which is annoying and of course could mess-up other customizations too.
Would it be possible to upload a version that skips the artifacts and the power visions but not the unity one. just playing it safe. heard the unity one being skipped can break your file.
I came here to ask the same thing - because I didn't see anything in the description that pointed me that direction - the description makes it sound like you can have AIO or Artifacts or Powers or Unity. Not any combination of the three orthe AIO if you want all three in one for convenience.
There was another mod that did this and they discovered that removing the final video (before the credits) caused ng+ to break entirely, is this different?
I guess so. Tested it on my new run and nothing looks broken. This mod simply replaces the long video with a one second short file. Shouldn't break anything.
You can replace the power and artifact videos with empty files and they still work. If you do that with unity it breaks NG+. So you must use a small 1 second video which is what this mod does.
I looked it up. Ending cutscene is 1m46s. Artifact videos are 11s and Power visions are 10s. With every cutscene in a playthrough, it takes 445s in total. This is about 7.5 min, and a total across 10 ng+ is 1 hour and 15 min watching the same cutscenes again and again.
Awesome concept. I'm downloading to check it out! But perhaps there are spoiler tags for the mod description? People can see that when browsing mods haha

And since you mentioned farming universes, I figured I should mention this video. It'll save you a LOT of time if you're say, angling for a specific alternate universe to try-out: Starfield NG+ How To Get All Alternate Universes With Console Commands
e.g.: I now have:
- EndingVision.bk2 -> 5KB
- EndingVision.bk2.vortex_backup -> 280MB
Pointless grinding is what takes time not a few 10 sec long visions...
Had the idea for this when I tried to get a certain universe by reloading a pre unity save. Skipping the last vision really is a time saver then.
