Dunno if this is related but everytime I try to fix my ship camera it tell me the FOV isn't found.

For ships, you can use SetGS "fFlightCameraOffsetBaseY:FlightCamera" -10 to edit the FOV. It changes the position of the camera on the Y axis - forward and backward. This is effectively the FOV.
You can also enter a modified version, swapping Y for Z, and you are able to modify the camera's position on the Z axis - up and down.

You can use these in the Console, or create a Batch File (google .bat file) with these.
    SetGS "fFlightCameraOffsetBaseY:FlightCamera" -10
    SetGS "fFlightCameraOffsetBaseZ:FlightCamera" 10

Long explanation of how to change it to suit you more, and why this works:
    v v v

    Spoiler:
    Show

The first one is Y - forward and backward. To move the camera further back (you could also think of it as moving the ship ahead), make a higher negative ( - ) number. So -15 is further back than -10. I use -18 with a large ship.

The second one is Z - up and down. To move the camera further up (you could also think of it as moving the ship down), make a higher number. So 15 is higher up than 10. I use 18 with a large ship.

Note you can also use X axis, left to right. It will keep your ship off to one side or the other. I wouldn't recommend it, but it is possible if you want it, for some reason.

Other good presets I came up with:

    SetGS "fFlightCameraOffsetBaseY:FlightCamera" -12
    SetGS "fFlightCameraOffsetBaseZ:FlightCamera" 12

    SetGS "fFlightCameraOffsetBaseY:FlightCamera" -15
    SetGS "fFlightCameraOffsetBaseZ:FlightCamera" 15

    SetGS "fFlightCameraOffsetBaseY:FlightCamera" -18
    SetGS "fFlightCameraOffsetBaseZ:FlightCamera" 18

in case anyone was curious what the commands are without having to download 100 batch files

    first person:
    SetINISetting "fFPWorldFOV:Camera" "110"
    SaveIniFiles

    third person:
    SetINISetting "fTPWorldFOV:Camera" "110"
    SaveIniFiles

you dont need the saveinifiles part if you're just testing different ones until you find the one you like

Is the SaveIniFiles a separate command or tagged onto the end of the line above it? If tagged at the end I get an error saying they were not saved. If I do it as a separate command there is no confirmation it did anything.

I don't know why, but my FOV didn't change when I manually put the setting in my starfieldcustom file - but this fixed it. Thank you SO much - it was driving me crazy!!!

    Go to "C:\Users\******\Documents\My Games\Starfield"

    Open "StarfieldCustom" in "notepad".

Go to "[Camera]" and edit "fFPWorldFOV=**" to "fFPWorldFOV=100"

Nope cant seem to get it to work no matter what, its ' key on UK keyboard not ~ best I can get it to do is come with a warning about losing achievements and this message

    bat ffp 100
    Expected end of line
    Compiled script not saved!
    bat fpp 100
    Expected end of line
    Compiled script not save

Time to uninstall and stick with dodgy FOV as less annoying that faffing with this, pity

I mean do you want someone to do it all for you?

Just follow the basic instructions you've put "bat ffp 100" when its "bat fpp100"

I tried to follow precisely the instructions.  I get this error, and i don't have a typo, just as in OP second command bat tpp.  Plus OP may have a typo, because you have to type in the message manually here.  My results are the same.  It doesn't work for me.

      bat fpp 100
      Expected end of line.

      Compiled script not saved!

Copy and paste the .txt files into the Starfield directory and it will work. Not the folder as a whole.

I did not think following the OP instruction is that hard.

      Its "bat fpp100" without quote

      not fpp 100
      not ffp 100

      smh

      SetGS "fFlightCameraFOV:FlightCamera" xx

is there a way to save this setting so it doesn't reset the FOV every time you restart the game?
