no idea what non-existent warnings file is. when I do each of the quests in order beginning to end, taking to each NPC at start and end nothing breaks, you do need to actually do any parts that have choices if you want a specific outcome there is a bug, that i have not seen fixed, if you kill Ularu it may lock the next quests from starting, not all the time but some of the time..
@vac333 I used the SQO 001FB85C and then used SetStage 001FB85C 100 (and I also tried 1) and the quest never shows up. I even did SetStage 0029EB12 1300 and redid the first half of my comment and still nothing. Anything you can recommend? I dont want to skip the entire backgrounds quest
:) what are the names of these quests, its not like I have the Ids memorized...
I completed each ending and opening dialog BTW you need to actually talk to the NPCs to progress do this to make sure nothing breaks some quests can be completed with out doing this, but the issue comes from quest lines that have choices for outcomes, so actually talk to the NPCs at the beginning and end of quests for questlines that have choices
if you SQO and SQS for each quest you can see what quests have choices, but some also have endings that are starts of the next quest. without iterating till you map it all out, talk to NPC at the beginning and talk to NPC at the end
I just finished top secrets and the quest for background checks never appears. Top secret is the one ending in eb12 and background checks ends with b85c. It’s weird though. I have a save right at the end of eb12 and I use the command setstage …eb12 1300 and it doesn’t complete the quest. It’s like my console commands don’t actually apply it but I don’t get errors from the console either when I enter the command.
does not fix it, allows you to skip it.. you need to be at a point before you kill her.. if you want to have her dead.. you could start Executive Level before you do to ensure it does not get tagged as Stopped, or just console complete the entire quest line. this is not a fix, it is a work around, a bypass, an option to not be stuck..
My problem is that I have hit a roadblock in the Ryujin mission "Guilty Parties". Whenever I enter the Syndicate hideout backroom to confront Imogene, she just drops dead when the cell loads. Doesn't have any quest item on her, either. So without console commands, this would be a complete showstopper. :-/ I really wonder why the *censored* this happens.
Thank you, vac333. But I preferred to start over. I had to use console commands on 3 quests in the SysDef/Crimson Fleet storyline and on 2 quests in the Ryujin line. I was afraid that maybe using console so often would have negative effects on my savegame state (especially considering that due to this games NewGame+ mechanic, you're bound to use it a loooooong time). IF I run into the same problem again though, I'll know what to do. Thanks again.
no console should have nothing to do with save game integrity, unless you are scripting, but the built in commands are safe.
yeah the game plus is one of the reasons I have been compiling console work ups of the quest lines, really do not care to redo the same quests 100 times.
For me the Crimson Fleet / SysDef quest is broken, I'm told to follow Neave, but she just stands around or interacts with a console instead of walking to her destination.
read this https://www.ign.com/wikis/starfield/How_to_Find_Starfield_Quest_IDs_and_Edit_Quest_Progress_with_Console_Commands find the quest ID use SQO to see what stage you are on, then use SetStage to, set the stage to the nest one in line might work, but you might have to use CompleteAllObjectives and SetStage to last stage to complete the quest to continue to the next
CF? oh Crimson Fleet, I have not completed them myself yet, I have done SysDef, setting up a new play through now, be a while, might get to pulling the SysDef Ids tomorrow, problem with SysDef I think will be the being able to start it from 2 deferent paths, if that matters concerned of breaking other quests only did this one cause of a game breaking bug
I am fortunate not to have encountered any issues with Ryujin. Both I and many others have experienced a consistent problem on either side, whether it be the Crimson Fleet or Sysdef. This bug results in one of three issues: 1. You cannot board the Legacy, 2. You cannot insert modules into the Legacy to extract credits, or 3. You are unable to board either side's Vigilance or Key. I am currently on the Sysdef side, but it seems that both sides are unfortunately experiencing these problems. You are truly a hero for making it possible to easily bypass quest-blocking bugs.
In my playthrough, the last quest(executive level) in Ryujin quest line didnt even start and show up. After completing sabotage, quest just didnt start, and no one has dialogue. Is there a way to start it manually? p.s. i cant fall back to a previous save, it was 30 hours of gameplay ago
that happened to me, and many others, seems that the quest status gets tagged as 'stopped' which prevents it from starting even with console.. might be related to killing one of the Execs, it is a bug. You will need to wait for a fix, revert to an older save, or start on new universe. You can check quest status by
SQV (QUEST ID) or ShowQuestVars (QUEST ID) shows all the relevant variables and their flags for the quest in question. It also shows the current state, whether or not the quest is enabled, running or stopped, current stage, and priority.

naturally or via console.
In console there is error about non-existant warnings file.
Any idea?
