Okay, I think the instructions to move the MotD need to be done regardless if you're just launching with a mod manager (at least Vortex).
I'm using Game Pass and the instructions said to put the data in the root folder, which Vortex does by default, but that does not work. I did a manual installation around my Vortex and that also did not work.
Might be something about the way Vortex launches the game, but if you use the mod manager, those MotD instructions just need to be done regardless of how you choose to install the mod.
Much better than vanilla without making it invisible like some other glass mods do. Vanilla glass was also weirdly wavy in its reflections, where as this makes it look like actual panes of glass. Great job!
Installation through Mod Organizer 2 couldn't be more simple. Download > Install > activate , nothing else (except Configure INI to Load Loose Files, ofc)
I just installed via Vortex, and seems to work fine, no need to do anything else. Just made sure it installed it to the root folder (Game Pass version)
I do have a lot of other mods as well maybe another mod is doing something necessary to make it work? eg Cleanfield mod?
This is a confusing topic I don't fully understand, but in some modes (e.g. fullscreen), there is some confusion in which directories get looked at for which things. It settles out in the end, but the motd displays too early which (for some reason) makes the game not display at all even though it it running and thinks it is working fine.

There does seem to be a visible seam between panes in many places, often when there probably shouldn't be. It is small, so can be quite subtle though...and honestly, it could have been there before, and I just never noticed due to not inspecting the glass as closely. Reducing that would be nice though, if possible.
So idk if im missing something or if made a mistake, but i try to find Starfielf.ini file in my SteamApps/Common/data.... directory and its not there.
i tried to search my whole drive for Starfield.ini and nothing. i already have the StarfieldCustom.ini thats in my documents/my games... but thats not the one im referring to.
does anyone know why/how it could have been deleted? Also is there a way to download or find that file somewhere online?
