⚙️ HOW IT WORKS
"GET (Game Enhancing Tweaks) the Orion Race" replaces the darkest skin tone with the deep green hue of the Orion race. When you create a new character and adjust the Skin Tone setting to (9), your character's face, arms, hands, torso, and legs turn the same color green.
⬇️ INSTALLING THE MOD
The mod has no installer. You have to upload the files and copy them to the folder Starfield uses for mods. To do this:
- Download the StarfieldCustom.ini file from the mod Base Starfield Custom.ini to Enable Loose File Mods.
- Download the file GET_Orion_Race_by_Sp0ckrates.zip
- Extract (unzip) the Texture folder (and its files) to the "C:\Users\[Your User Name]\Documents\My Games\Starfield\Data" folder
- Start a new game and create a character
🎨 CREATING YOUR CHARACTER
For an existing character, visit a plastic surgeon (such as the one in Cydonia) and do this:
- Pay the plastic surgeon 500 credits
- Select Face
- Scroll down to Skin Tone and select (9) to change the skin tone color to blue for your character's face, arms, hands, torso, legs, and feet.
- Set the Dermaesthetic to (1)
- If you change the Skin Tone again, you will need to reset the Dermaesthetic to (1)
- Select the desired settings for the other Face options
- Select Finish and select Yes to save the changes.
If you're creating a new character, try this:
- Select a Biometric ID
- Select Face
- Under Face, select (9) for the Skin Tone
- Set the Dermaesthetic to (1)
- If you change the Skin Tone again, you will need to reset the Dermaesthetic to (1)
- Select the desired settings for the other Face options
- Select the desired Body, Background, and Traits
- Save your character
🎁 WHAT YOU GET
When you select (9) as the skin tone while creating a new character or visiting a plastic surgeon, your character's face, arms, hands, torso, legs, and feet turn a deep shade of green to resemble the Orion race from Star Trek.

So, I know how to create meshes with 3DS Max, but I really don't have the time. If you're itching to make some new races, I'd be willing to collaborate to make a mod with you. Just post a comment. Like, an Andorian with antennas would be awesome! Right?
🇺🇦 100% SUPPORT FOR THE VICTIMS OF UKRAINE
100% of the DP points for all of our mods go to support the Ukrainian families who are victims of Russia's war against their country. Many thanks to Nexus for providing this opportunity to assist them.
🤓 INFO FOR GEEKS
The DirectDraw Surface (.dds) texture files were edited using the free app Paint.net, which requires no plug-in to edit the files. For each skin tone, the hue, brightness, and saturation were adjusted. The circular text for the uploaded image was created using the free app Inkscape. Both apps are my go-to for working with images and word art.
⚠️ KNOWN ISSUES
NPCs with skin tone number 9 will have green hands and bodies. Their faces will keep the original skin tone.
✋ DISABLING THE MOD
To disable the mod, rename or move the Texture folder added by the mod. Skin tones for your character will return to the game default.
