REPLACE YOUR CHARACTER'S SKIN TONE WITH ONE OF 9 SHADES OF GREEN!

Disappointed that Starfield has no alien species to choose from for your character?  Wonder why selecting the Alien DNA trait doesn't make your character look any different? Then this mod is for you!  "GET (Game Enhancing Tweaks) Green Skin" (formerly called "GET Green Face") gives you 9 skin tones of various shades of green to choose from for new or existing player characters. The mod is completely safe.  You can go back to the default skin tone anytime you want.

🆕  WHAT'S NEW

Version 1.2 now changes your character's hands, arms, legs, feet, and torso to the same color green that you choose for your face.

🎁  WHAT YOU GET

"GET (Game Enhancing Tweaks) Green Skin"  replaces the 134 face, hands, arms, legs, feet, and torso skin tones used for the player character with those having various shades of green from slightly green to fully green.

⚙️  HOW IT WORKS

The mod replaces the white to dark brown skin tones with various hues of green (see the uploaded images).  When you create a new character (or change your existing character's appearance at an Enhance shop) and adjust the Skin Tone slider, you can choose the new skin colors.

⬇️  INSTALLING THE MOD

The mod has no installer. You have to download the files, extract them, and copy the extracted Textures folder to the Data folder Starfield uses for mods. To do this:

  • Download and install the StarfieldCustom.ini file from the mod Base Starfield Custom.ini to Enable Loose File Mods.
  • Download the file GET_Green_Skin_Sp0ckrates.zip.
  • Extract (unzip) the Texture folder (and its files) to the "C:\Users\[Your User Name]\Documents\My Games\Starfield\Data" folder.
  • Start a new game and create a character, or change your existing character’s skin tone at an Enhance shop.

🤝  COLLABORATION WELCOME

So, I know how to create meshes with 3DS Max, but I really don't have the time. If you're itching to make some new species, I'd be willing To collaborate to make a mod with you. Just post a comment.

🇺🇦  100% SUPPORT FOR THE VICTIMS OF UKRAINE

100% of the DP points for all of our mods go to support the innocent Ukrainian families who are victims of Russia's unprovoked war against their country. Many thanks to Nexus for providing this opportunity to assist them.

🤓  INFO FOR GEEKS

The DirectDraw Surface (.dds) texture files were edited using the free app Paint.net, which requires no plug-in to edit the files. For each skin tone, the hue, brightness, and saturation were adjusted. The circular text for the uploaded image was created using the free app Inkscape. Both apps are my go-to for working with images and word art

⚠️  KNOWN ISSUES

The mod changes the arm, hands, legs, feet, and torso skin tones of named NPCs. It doesn't change the face and neck skin tones of the NPCs.

✋  DISABLING THE MOD

To disable the mod, rename or move the Texture folder added by the mod. Skin tones for your character will return to the game default.
