Install per PureDark's instructions from his Discord under #starfield-beta-access.
*Important* when installing over your already installed preset do not override the current "ReShade.ini" file.
Rename the "dxgi.dll" file to "d3d9.dll".
Enjoy!
Changelog:
Update 1.1!
Made changes to my preset to eliminate annoying color fading cause by the color correct shader, which was especially apparent when in dialogue with multiple NPCs.
Also made changes to set the displaydepth.fx correctly.
Optional update 1.1.1!
Made an adjustment to qUINT_sharp.fx, reducing areas of the game that were overly sharpened.
Update 1.2!
Removed less sharp as an option and just made it the main one, is the superior version.
Fixed an issue where Raytacing wasn't showing as intended.
If I am not mistaken its 0.17.0.2, but I am not 100% sure as I am not currently subbed just used a file from when I was subbed. And Starfield does not have a DLSS3 mod yet, only DLSS2 but I don't believe it works. Unless what I said to @brianbruv below was a fix, I didn't personally try both myself.
Right, I needed the link to the file that downloaded "ReShade-Optical-Flow-main"and had an initial shaders folder and license file, followed by qUINT folder and qUINT FX file. except I did not use that FX file. I only dragged the quint folder over and used the *older* FX file you linked me.
Beautiful thanks for the help with this, I updated the instructions they should be accurate now. I also updated the preset to v1.1 which fixed some minor annoyances I found while playing.
Also dropped the old RTX preset as it made such a minor change.
Is it possible to make it work with DLSS mod? Said dxgi.dll already exists so i had to delete it to make it work and implement the one with the reshade
This is really a random idea but maybe try renaming one of those to d3d9.dll I remember something similar I did to get the DLSS mod to work with Reshade for Star Wars Jedi Survivor.
Is the RTX Present worth it? Could you possibly make a short comparison video if it's not too much work? I always have a hard time telling the difference in pictures. Then I would think about getting the Ray Tracers subscription. Is there an advantage to booking the Path Tracers Subscription?
You can see the comparison with RTX on and off in the second and third picture. Its obviously not RTX and looks exactly the same between the two which is exactly what all "RTX Reshades" do. Real RTX that changes how the game looks has to be developed. The Reshade on its own looks nice tho you just cant notice the RTX.
Yeah the reshade here is not that pronounced I can make it more "RTX-y" at the cost of visual imperfections in the form of shadows appearing wonky in some areas. I adjusted the values here to make shadows slightly enhanced. It will definitely look good to some if I were to crank up some of the settings to make the RTX shader more pronounced but it comes at even worse performance.
As Cryptotic said without the game being built with RTX in mind it'll never be perfect, maybe ill uploaded another one to make this fake RTX more apparent, for now I think just the Reshade without RTX is a good improvement.
Sweet Thanks, I am going to try the new file now but I think it says martysmod.FX not working in red when I open reshade. I've checked my steps and all appears correct?>>hmm.
Use this one, I linked a different one than intended. Just go to the right side and hit download as zip and extract to 'reshade-shaders' located in game directory. Also check out the preset I just dropped with more pronounced RTX maybe you'd prefer it.
Specifically I use an older version, not sure if that makes a difference. Hopefully Marty doesn't get mad I link it :/
Thanks, I have a 4090/12900k so im willing to push it. Ill check the new shaders. Im going to delate reshade and start from scratch. ill report back shortly

Update 1.2!The 2nd file you linked me to worked, but it needed the qUINT folder from the Reshade-Optical-Flow-Main Folder.
Hope that makes sense.
I felt like something was missing and it was.
Following the directions left out the RESHADE OPTICAL FLOW MAIN folder you had linked previously, but added the updated working QUINT file.
I have both So I was able to grab that shader folder and it worked fine.
I did notice an FPS hit, but and visuals look good, no complains. Ill keep fooling around.
So are you saying that you needed both GitHub links in order to get it working?

I linked the screen shot above showing MARTYMOD error. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks agian.
I get
dxgi.dll already exist, but does not belong to reshade, please make sure this is not a system required by the game.
When I try to install reshade 5.9.2.
NVM, solved. I removed the other nexus reshade mode and the installed worked great.
