The instructions on adding an item are clear, however - Can you please expand on the item perks to make them rare, epic, legendary? Not 100% on what the command is to add said perk to a specific item?
Took me a while to realize the one part of the description you mention "not tested on male characters yet" that should have more emphasis. Probably why the colors and parts of the body itself aren't appearing properly on my male character trying to figure out what was going wrong cause it was not texture conflicts, made sure of that by doing a fresh install, no mods besides this one. So no, not working with male characters. I'll stay posted for an update though. This is the hottest armor replacer available and I'm a big fan of your other mods, keep up the good work.
Dunno about the pants, might be another mod overwriting that texture -- like it's a shared texture, maybe?
As for the jetpack, the description says it's invisible. If you don't want the invisible one, don't copy the spacesuit_mantis_backpack_color.dds file under the spacesuit_mantis texture.
Edit: On the note of the brown pants, I'm also having that problem and I cleared every other texture mod I had out first. Not sure what the problem is.
Thank you for your hard work. It looks great in game and I love it. The only thing I noticed is that when sneaking, the waist is becoming slightly invisible.
Yeah there is no way for me to fix that yet unfortunately. I do have some new tools at my disposal and I can trouble shoot the mesh and see if I can get it to feet seemlessly!
So first off i love this reskin, its looks fantastic and was really well done. I do however have an issue where the helmet has appeared on a few other npcs such as the emissary during the unity quest. Any way i can fix this?
It is a reskin of the Starborn helmet, the only way to "fix" this would be to delete the retexture provided for the starborn helmet. You can always add it back whenever you are done playing with Main story stuff if its killing immersion for you :)
It is a replacer for the mantis mod to be specific. So it is using parts of already existing armors and clothings in the game. So it is not just a recolor of the mantis armor, but a replacer and recolors of those said things substituted in. If you were to delete the Starbon folder you just would have the regular mantis head. If you were to just delete the starborn texture, you could still use the helmet as a substitute it just wouldn't have the skin. Maybe for a more immersive experience you can just install this, then install someone elses fully blacked out starborn armor and that helmet should be overwritted with just a full black one, and when you encounter starborn in the verse/verses they will at least have a full matching armor set.
Hopefully this helps :) I am like NG+ 12 / 200+ hours deep. So I don't really run into any starborn in my time so it isn't something I really thought about. Maybe from now on when I change a core part of gameplay for some folks I will separate it off into a different file, and at the very least have the rest of the armors to match whatever I am taking it from so it doesn't look out of place on the NPC's you encounter.
can you do a ver of this with just the mask and gloves and the rest parts combined with the black ranger duster mod would absolutely love and seems like itd fit well either that or just w a black poncho swap ty in advance
yup same and i know why, the texture file for the pants is not in the download files. the file i see edits sam coe pants when it should be a color change for sarah morgan pants. also when wearing the fist officer outfit the lower body texture is the default as well so its also missing the lower body texture for that
tried with my male character but the outfit (except helmet) is not coming in black
edit: everything is showing black except for the mantis space suit. so the hat, helmet, razorback, pack are all showing. also the waist area of the suit is coming in invisible.

What if i just delete the spacesuit_starborn_01 folder?
