I suggest lowering the volume and adding in reverb. Not sure if you are familiar with any kind of music software or DAW or how you make these mods. But if you lower the volume a bit and add in a 'room reverb' it'll really enhance the immersive-ness, and make it fit right into the game world naturally. There are a few EQ tweaks as well to really get that "mall reverb" sound.
Hi, what software did you use to convert / work with wem files ? I have a few songs that I also want to put in my game but I don't know how to convert wem files into useable sound format like mp3 or wav and then back to wem.
-Soundbanks sorter tool from DefenderVex on the nexus for easily finds musics ids. -BAE extractor to extract .wem files from Starfield sound packages. -Vgmstream, a github software to convert .wem to .wav. -Sound Editor, an easy to use WWE 2k Games modding community software to convert .wav to .wem in an accurate conversion settings for Starfield.
the music is a bit louder than it should be. also seems to just start and stop right at the door, but since they're open doors the music should be heard outside as well getting quieter with distance. not sure sure if there's any way to fix that
Thanks for the feedback, will try to reduce decibels a bit in the following week but for the start of the music indoor it seems it's just how the game works so i don't think i will be able to change that, my mods is really just converting and replacing musics.
Can you do a very quiet mod for Starfield homes? I just bought a house in Akila and being in it for more than a couple minutes is like low-grade torture. The Lo-Fi is nice, maybe a little Bossa Nova too.
I prefer to let people listen and discover the songs during their playthrough instead than being influenced by the names and the tracks but i plan to do small previews in-game for my mods when i got the time.
Problem is it is not even clear what music tracks this mod replaces. I've played like 35 hours with the game but I have no idea what "Terrabrew music" means in the game. Yes, I know Terrabrew is a made-up coffee trademark in the game, but why do you call it Terrabrew music?
it's not me who called it like that, theses audio files without ids are named like litterally Mus_Terrabrew_01 MUS_Terrabrew_02, etc... That musics plays in every terrabrew in the game and if you really don't know what it is, it is especially because thoses are like i said quite generic or as someone else said doesn't transmit anything, so another reason to give a try to this mod. Edit : I uploaded a little preview video.
I'm looking forward to music replacer as in comparison to Skyrim, exploration ambient in this is VERY generic work by Inon Zur who was always weak with atmosphere, to the point that he totally killed the empty, cold, unforgiving space feel for me :/
But a preview, please, don't want to replace it unless I know it's an improvement.
Thanks for the advice, i've uploaded a little preview, it adds a more swingy mood while keeping it chill, right now as a radio mod or music player mod is lacking (at least as a fallout player), I just wanted to be able to listen more (immersives if possible) musics in the game overall other than the score.
