Now using a better technique that should (and has been thus far) successfully surviving future updates. In theory, this should also be backwards compatible with most game versions. In theory...
is it possible to have a mod doing the exact opposite? reducing the FOV when going ADS? I play with a very high default fov and my enemies are too small when I go ADS
Yeah I also want more zoomed in fov when ADS lol. Its kinda funny cause I use your mod for the third person and that zooms in further than first person when ads.
same i want this too. if possible make a ini for every zoom setting, since we cannot change sens for every scope, maybe we can change zoom to match focal length of our sens. assuming game does not have its own calculations based on FoV but rather rotate based on a specific multiplier for very optics etc.
For anyone who can't get this mod to work (I've had issues with it working on vortex mostly) I might have a solution here: Entering the mod folder contents and changing the:SFSE/plugins/AdsFovRemoved.dll folder path to: SFSE/Plugins/AdsFovRemoved.dllto match all the other SFSE mods using capitalization and it works again. I guess it wasn't reading it? All my other SFSE plugins use a capitalized folder path so I said f*#@ it lets see if it will work, I've tried everything else... I don't know. I have no idea why this worked.
This shouldn't be an issue for users with an already existing SFSE setup but it very well could create issues if users only use this script and no other SFSE scripts. Great catch, massive thank you! I'll post a hotfix now.
command in the custom.ini file, BUT when i include this command, the mod will not work. If anyone knows a work around or what isn't working any help would be greatly appreciated!
Edit: just for clarification! The weapons FOV wasn't changing prior, but the world FOV would. The only work around I found of actually making it change was adding said command line in the ini file
Edit PT. 2, the sequel: I did some snooping and also tried to inject manually as some of the others suggested but still no luck, I zoom in and the FOV for the weapon decreases back to what I believe is the original FOV, this s#*! got me tweakin idk why the mod refuses to work
Ok, so I've just redownloaded the game and it's still working as expected on my end. Have you tried removing all mods and only testing this one? A mod confliction could be possible, especially if any other scripters have created anything that relies on the bytes i've nop'd.

Hoping this will be future proofed considerably more than previous versions :)
