About this mod
Replaces menu theme with the theme used in Year 1 Destiny, "Guardian"
- Permissions and credits
Please be advised, the NG+ option isn’t actually the NG+ theme, which is apparently different from the regular one. I do not know what the ID is for that. Right now, it’s a cheeky work around that might end up with the NG+ theme AND the Destiny theme playing simultaneously. However, I do not have a way of testing this as I have not gotten to NG+
Installation:
Install with your favourite mod manager. GamePass users will have to manually install
Manual Installation:
When I installed both at the same time, the menu themes played over the top of one another. No idea if this is an error on my part or it's just the way the game works. Either way, choose the one that relates to your current playthrough and replace with the other if/when you enter NG+.
Unzip the archive and drag the contents of EITHER (only one) the "Base Menu Theme" or "NG+ Menu Theme" into your Starfield root directory where your Starfield.exe is located (if you don't have file extensions enabled then it'll just be called "Starfield" with the game logo). Easy as that.
To uninstall, simply remove the "456350239.wem" or "471598494.wem" files from Starfield/Data/Sound/Soundbanks
GamePass Manual Installation:
This is packaged for Steam, not game pass. I do not know what the file structure is like for gamepass, however it's not the end of the world. I'm also not entirely sure how well this mod will work either as I know GamePass is having problems with mods right now.
Just find the folder where the game is installed, then find the folder with your Starfield.exe (if you don't have file extensions enabled then it'll just be called "Starfield" with the game logo) and drop the contents of either (only one) folder mentioned in the manual installation instructions into there. Don't drop the folders in, just the folder labeled "Data" inside the the description folders.
Make sure you have a StarfieldCustom.ini (Documents/My Games/Starfield) with the following lines:
[Archive]
bInvalidateOlderFiles=1
sResourceDataDirsFinal=
Alternatively, if you're unsure how to create an ini file, you can download one in the optional files here.
I do not own any rights to this song, all copyright goes to the original author. I simply downloaded the song and converted it to .wem using WWise.
