I'll be limiting my updates to break/fix after 9/24.. .. or until I have the time to experience many of the great games that have come out this year that I've fallen behind on.
I expect many of these will need to be revisited as official mod tools become available, so I'm keeping the source files around for when that happens. Who knows, I might even be able to bring them to console enjoyers.
Unless there is a massive update that fundamentally changes the way mods are deployed, troubleshooting will not be provided. This is a very simple mod and the instructions are incredibly detailed. If it's not working, you:
- Didn't read the instructions and just assumed you could figure it out by yourself. - Have a conflicting mod. - Are missing the .ini file, or the file's format is unreadable. Remove everything but the required lines and try again. - Installed it into the Starfield install directory instead of your Documents folder. - You dropped the data folder INTO an existing data folder. - Forgot to install it. - Deleted it. - Were dropped on your head as a baby and everyone's been lying to you about it.
do you think you could perhaps make the ... idk whats it called... the animation that plays when you take out kodama each time ? its like you start looking at it , and cant shoot instantly like other weapons... has i think 2 or 3 seconds delay due to that think you could disable that animation please ?
Nope. At least not that others have been able determine at the time I worked on this. Probably have to wait for mod tools. Last I heard that’s early next year(ish).
"Mostly Black with Decals" is a big improvement over the original as a stealth weapon. Just a heads-up: in your all-in-one pack, the textures for "Darker Defaults" and "Mostly Black with Decals" seem to be swapped.
Not sure if there a way to tweak the reflective properties of the gun to make it look like actual gold. Or are you just looking for the color specifically?
Really appreciate the mod and I will use it, however, it is a bit saturated and is hard to see in some lighting situations. Do you think you can tone down the black and make it slightly more grey in tone? Or make another version?
Yeah, as I was playing I was noticing that too. The lighting and materials in this game are very finicky with how they interact sometimes. I'll play around a bit with it and release a few more versions tomorrow(ish).
I released two more variants as standalones and in the pack. In the few lighting scenarios I was able to test with, they seem to give off more depth. I'm going to stop modding for tonight and play through the game a bit to see if I run into any issues with the colors on this one.
