Posted this comment on another mod to trade items but it will work for this one too.

#1 Enter the command screen and click on NPC to get their ID and then close the command screen.
#2 Rotate your focus off of the NCP and reopen Command screen.
#3 Type "openactorcontainer 1" (without quotes), hit enter and close command prompt.
#4 un-equip any equipped items you want and enjoy your new duds, (FYI:
Clothing only seems to work on named NPC's and guards, generics normally
    just have miscellaneous junk).

Alternatively you can use the Bat file included which should do the same thing but you will still need to
command line, click, close, rotate, command line , enter bat file
    prompt, close.

You can dress anyone in anything.  For un-named NPC, go to the console, click on the NPC, type equipitem "object_id"
The NPC will have their clothes go invisible, then close the console and the clothes you gave them will appear!  Fun!

I used the command and it made my companion invisible... How do I reverse this?

Great mod, only downside I can think of that it sadly also unequip all weapons. THat's the one advantage the swimsuit replacer has over this mod (as in: you can keep your spacesuit on, cause as soon as you re-equip it on the npc they will automatically wear it, even if they are in an area where they normally wouldn't). Kind of a shame

I'm assuming this isn't suppose to happen? Anyone know how to fix this?

Could it be possible to make invisible clothing, and then just replace some ingame clothing with it? Like the space undies or whatever... so every time you equip your companion with it, he/she kinda "takes their clothes off"? Would be great...

I used this Mod, and then foolishly saved my game... and now some of the guards spawn without armor, when attacking me...
I would suggest using a different mod like this instead --->
Bat File to Trade with NPC
(and - never saving when they're without armor...)

    Dude... This is just
    'unequipall'
I've never seen a more useless thing to upload, I'm sorry if that sounds harsh but haven't we all been using this command since Skyrim?

I've seen worse mods being uploaded. Like there's a mod just telling you to delete some files or just some diy instructions..like REALLY? Majority of these early "mods" on nexus are a joke. Can't wait for the ck to come out for true mods.

if you dont see an benefit from using this then simply dont use it, this and the others ive uploaded seen to be very useful for people. some people may be new to bethesda games and or are unfamiliar with the command system. this donst hurt anyone and does what i promise on the mod page. it donst just unequip all item it also displays the targets inventory in the console before, streamling the process. we are in early modding phase of starfield even if that only helps one player it was worth sharing.

How does this contribution help people who are unfamiliar with console commands?
They still have to open the console and type a command to run this. This accomplishes nothing but saving people maybe an entire two seconds. I'm sorry but this is super low quality.

This "mod" is not a mod.
Whether some people find it useful or not , is irrelevant.
You're keeping new players uneducated on how to use the console by saving them 10 mins of googling.
Unless there is a scripts subsection, this belongs on reddit or w/e not nexus.
