I instead used the .ini supplied with this mod, and then copy and pasted my other .ini tweaks into the one supplied with this mod, and it's working now.
I *suspect* it's because this ini correctly is encoded in UTF-8, and you may have made yours with Notepad and the encoding is UTF-8-BOM? You can easily verify that using Notepad++ and checking the encoding section when opening a file.

I told myself this will be the first mod I download if i find it and I am so happy it actually exists. Don't have early access but downloading this for when the game fully launches on the 6th.
