About this mod
A handmade texture replacer for Batball Cap (Baseball Cap) apparel, replicating Hololive Ceres Fauna's MILF hat. UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU~
- Permissions and credits
- Changelogs
- It's the MILF hat, in game!
- The mod is strictly non-profit! Please treat it maybe just as another fan-art.
- This is a texture replacer for 'Batball Cap' apparel item (inner file name is 'outfit_baseball_cap_01').
- The .dds texture replacer was made by myself, done in GIMP, recoloring the base texture, then I drew the logo directly on top.
- Font used is Baskervville by ANRT.
- This is my first time modding a Bethesda game, please feel free to tell me if anything goes wrong or if I missed anything up!
- Go to 'Documents\My Games\Starfield\', you should see 'StarfieldCustom.ini'.
- If no such file is found, you can create one yourself, right-click on empty space in the explorer, choose 'New > Text Document', make sure the name is correct, and that the file extension is '.ini'
- You should be able to open this file using text editor such as Notepad, open it then paste this code:
[Archive]
bInvalidateOlderFiles=1
sResourceDataDirsFinal=
- Save the file, then make sure again the extension is '.ini'
Installing the mod:
- Somewhere around the top-right of this page, there should be a 'Download: Manual' button.
- After downloading the mod, unpack it somewhere safe to avoid making clutter, and find the 'Data' folder, place this folder inside 'Documents\My Games\Starfield\'
Uninstalling the mod:
- WARNING do NOT delete the 'Data' folder! You might have some other files in there from other mods that you do not want to delete.
- Go to '\Documents\My Games\Starfield\Data\textures\clothes\outfit_baseball_cap_01' and look for this file 'outfit_baseball_cap_01_color.dds'
- Delete that file and your Batball Cap should return back to normal.
- I'm pretty new to Bethesda modding, if I understand correctly, the step in 'Preparing Mod' is called 'enabling Loose Files'.
- If the mod still does not work after editing the StarfieldCustom.ini file, you can try editing the it using Bethini Pie, it's a tool for editing Bethesda's .ini file.
- I couldn't get mine to work either, until I gave up and used said program, and it just frickin work, lol.
- Some people's game client reportedly uses the Data folder 'inside the Game directory' instead of 'My Document directory', however the installation should still be the same, paste the Data folder inside '\Starfield\'.
[CONTAINS POSSIBLE SPOILER]
- Volii system is one jump away from Alpha Centauri (this is where Jameson is, the New Atlantis city and the Lodge), through Olympus (this is where your house is if you have 'Dream House' trait).
- Due to RNG in vendor stock, it is possible that the hat is not available.
- Another workaround is to use Console Command: press tilde (~) on your keyboard, should be next to '1' and above 'Tab', under 'Esc'.
- A console window should pops up from the bottom of the screen.
- Copy and paste this:
player.additem 0019219C
- One lovely MILF hat should be added to your inventory, and you can find it under Apparel tab.- Tips: you can go to Spacesuit and Helmet tab, and press 'E' to toggle between automatically hiding the suit and helmet in settlement, this way you can wear the lovely MILF helmet whenever you are able to breath fresh air.

last time I do this kind of modding was when I was in middle school, more than 10 years ago, and sad to say, I barely get better nor can I do anything more than simply modifying texture or swapping files (which atm seems way too complicated for me in Starfield), and my 12 years old drawing tablet is way too old for the driver to works, so I did all this with a mouse, hence the rough and sloppy finish. Really wish I could've done it better. I also tried editing the AO, normals and rough map, but none of them works, I have no idea why. the AO simply turns the entire thing black, the normal works kinda, the logo turns like an embroidered patch just like on real hat! But there's so many weird bumps it looked like a mineral ore on your head. The rough map turns the hat reflective as if it was made of glass. I think it might be the exporting method or I might've edited on a certain channel? I think the edit somehow whoops the scaling up to an extreme.
