Compatibility with hud mods pls! (StarUI HUD in particular) A lot of commenters asking for this already, so here's my +1
Great work on all of your other mods too! Big fan of your work Stentorious! I have almost all of your mods in my load order, and I would love to be able to use this one too!
Idk what Bethesda was thinking with their poopy, overly elaborate hitmarkers :( Pls continue saving us from their poor design choices, friend.
Would you mind if I upload a version of this mod that is compatible with StarUI HUD and BetterHUD? I patch it for my personal use by copying what you did to the sprite to other HUD mod. Since many are asking.
That is something i have been waiting for for over a week now (to be able to use both HUD mods and these clean dots and hit markers). I do hope the creator approves!
Personally waiting on BetterHUD to update, but author is extremely busy and said he will do as his time allows (perfectly understandable). Then still looking forward for Clean Vanilla Hitmarkers to be made compatible with BetterHUD and StarHUD, i know the above complicates things, however these three would be EXTREMELY nice to have working.
Open hudmenu.gfx in the BetterHUD/StarUI Patch zip with JPEXS.
In JPEXS, navigate to shapes/DefineShape4 (225) the left side, now you should see a T shape in the preview.
Click Edit below the preview panel.
Expand shapes->shapeRecords->record[2]->lineStyles->lineStyles2->lineStyles[0], you should see the color section at the bottom.
Click the color to open the Select color panel, switch to HSV tab and change transparency to 100.
Click Save, you should see the T shape changed to a line.
Now navigate to sprites/DefineSprite (236: HUDMenu_fla.HitIndicator_mc_39), right click and click "expand all".
In each frame select and remove all PlaceObject2 that aren't Depth 3/6/9/12/29. You can select multiple objects by holding ctrl. Don't remove FrameLabel.
After deleting the hitmarker should be the same as the clean vanilla hit marker now.
To fix the hitmarker being off centered, select DefineSprite (236: HUDMenu_fla.HitIndicator_mc_39) and click Transform
Move it to -8.385, -15.050. If this value doesn't work you can adjust it yourself using relative move.
For step 2 the zip you're going to open depends on which mod with hudmenu.gfx is on top for your configuration. Happy modding!
puffbro, Can you upload a version of this mod that is compatible with StarUI HUD and BetterHUD? I saw you asked that 3 months ago, and Stentorious said that he would upload a patch soon, but 3 months later no patch has been uploaded. I think it would make sense.
Dear Stentorious, could we get an update for this to work with StarUI HUD and BetterHUD? Or perhaps collab with StarHUD creator to incorporate customization for the hit marker and the dot crosshair if possible.
Basically i really enjoyed the possibility to use your "No Bar" hit marker and turn it into white for a slightly better visibility of hits. And i also found your small dot crosshair alot better than any other dots provided by mods to date, and i would love to be able to use these in conjuction with the other mods!
Uninstalling this but keeping it in my mod list to wait for a new update where its compatible with StarUI HUD, hopefully its possible because i LOVE this mod
I'm sure I'm doing something wrong but I can't get this to work. I love the look of this mod and wish I could use. Manual Install, placed no bars red file into Starfield\Data\Interface in main directory. Even tried to place in my documents and still nothing. not using better hud or anything that should clash with this that i'm aware of. Same issue when I tried to use vortex
You need to download -> Basic StarfieldCustom.ini-1689-1-0-1694375609 and Clean Vanilla Hit Marker-1689-1-3-1695054242
Extract StarfieldCustom.ini in My Documents -> starfield Extract Interface Folder in Starfield main game Data folder (Interface folder is in the rar inside : Vanilla Crosshair\No Bars\Red\120 FPS\Data)
yeah, needed the custom ini for other mods set up, so I know that wasn't it. I use your other Compact UI/mission/shipbuilder mods and the favorites menu flicker (you've turned into my new favorite author and I've endorsed all). Tried multiple times to extract this mod interface folder into data from main directory and still no luck. Again, I know it has to be something I'm doing I just don't see what it is. Its going to end up being something super obvious I know it. lol [Archive] bInvalidateOlderFiles=1 sResourceDataDirsFinal=
