Just a note in-case others run into the issue where you purchase the house and then show-up with no key... Sucks! A few posts on Reddit and steam about this bug. I got this from a Steam forum post that got me past the issue.
I found how to solve this problem. The quest restarts like this: 1. Console command: startquest a47b8 9000 2. Save game. Load game. 3. Enter the command: setstage a47b8 300 4. Enter the command: setstage a47b8 400 5. Fly home. 6. Open the door. The quest should be completed.
You should be fine, the quests associated with the perks should show up like normal, but this assumes your game is reasonably young, obviously. The more you interact with the quest-givers prior to adding the perk, the more likely you are to muff something up.
For Dream Home the perk alone probably won't do anything. You need to activate the mortgage quest line at the proper stage.
setstage A47B8 100
That should work. I doubt you even need the perk itself, that's likely a marker to run the script to set the stage to that at game start.
Some others also require that you have a hidden quest on the proper stage. I know for instance if you add Kid Stuff (parents) after the second main mission, where you would usually get a note from them handed to you by Noelle at Constellation, it won't trigger. So, for Kid Stuff, first, go into orbit. Do NOT do this while on land, especially Jemison. Then type
player.addperk 227fde startquest 0010c2fa
As console commands (two separate ones, in that order). That should get you the quest to visit your parents in their tower the first time, rest should trigger naturally if I recall. If it doesn't, experiment with setting the quest stages for that same quest ID.
I think those two are the only ones that have quests associated. Maybe Wanted, but I haven't seen the quest ID yet on that. The rest are mostly just static modifiers without questlines, so adding the perk alone ought to be plenty. Anyways, happy hunting y'all, and don't forget to download the Achievement Enabler, as running any of these commands (possibly even just entering the console at all, due to a glitch) completely invalidates achievements on that save without it.
Does this give you the quest or just the home? The value "100" suggests the latter. This mod would allow you to run through the quest, not just receive the reward from it, correct?
I just tried the suggested setstage at 100 and it does indeed start you at the begining of that quest line. Double checked with the SQO command and 100 is listed as the first part of that quest line.
Hoping it will be easy enough for me to find the quest IDs and starting stages for the other traits I wanted and just start them with setstage.
Like u said Rek u can do all that setstage stuff and u get traits, perks house adoring fan etc etc its same system we did in skyrim! and i think if u have more traits tht gona breake game etc..
So what is this mod for? Switching traits mid-playthrough? Or does this allow you to do something like this: Remove one trait, add the home trait so you can have the quest and house, then revert back to your old traits while still keeping the home and the quest (or maybe the quest has to be finished first before reverting back to old traits).
Yes, you have to remove one of your traits as the description says, my question is that if i use this to give myself the trait, could I then remove it and place back my old trait while still keeping the player home and/or quest

I wanted to try it. Will that make problems?

I would gladly get the equivalent adding hitmen tracking you, there is a perk about this!
Thank you so much,
