Just as the author mentioned previously, consider using Consistent Third Person Camera. The sticky post in said mod essentially provides instructions for a souped up version of this mod. The "autoexec" parts of the instructions can be supplanted onto this mod's ThidPersonCamera.txt file.
I don't know if this is possible yet. but would it possible when you ADS in 3rd person it goes into first and when you stop ADS goes back into 3rd? like in Ghost Recon.
oH DAM! I looked at that mod but the video shows him staring at floor and that threw me as to what the mod really does. Thanks for the heads up and for the ADS FOV removal mod.
Hey man, love the mod! Endorsed it instantly. Quick questions..is there a way to slow your max walk speed while ads'ing in 3rd person? I play immersive in my playthroughs and prefer a cinematic/realistic experience. I ads around corners, move slowly, etc. Makes the game feel alive lol. Second question..has there been any progress towards being able to switch shoulder views between left and right that way when we are moving through cover we can peak both angles?
I can't wait for a "switch shoulder" function, but i think this will take quit a while to be implemented.
it's amazing how little Beth did to improve the movement in this game - No improvement to the peaking mechanic, no tossing nades from behind cover, no cover system in 3rd person (like we have in 1st) and no shoulder switch. They just added double jump and called it "Jetpack" and a slide. That's it.
I agree/disagree. A game like this takes SO MUCH time and effort. I have a friend who is a developer and he's helped with some small time stuff (he's young obviously) and he was streaming to me in Discord showing/explaining things to me about how it all works and he basically was telling me that for a game like Starfield to have everything we wanted and would expect instead of it taking 7 years to make it would've been more like 13-15. They're an amazing company. They allow us to alter THEIR creation. THEIR baby that they made with THEIR vision in mind. That's huge. I respect what they do over there and always support their games because of it. Can you imagine how perfect this game is going to be when the Kit comes out? Bro..omg.
anyone know what the setgs for the third person height is, pretty much just the placement settings would be great for X and Y.... id like to raise the camera a bit, lowering the character down on the screen, maybe even moving him over to the left a bit too, only when in third person, thank you
I've tried to do this but haven't had any luck so far. There is a command to unlock the camera from the player which, when set to true forces the camera inside the player's body but even then I couldn't force the camera to change any values except for the ones I've provided.
Hopefully, someone will be able to do this soon :)
Damn, I hope someone finds the commands for this soon. I can't believe Beth went through all the trouble of making third person shooting feel and look so much better only to align the camera to where the elbow covers the entire gun cuz they didn't raise the camera a bit or make them point more into the middle of the screen. It's the little things like that have always ruined otherwise great games for me. Like I can't stop thinking about it.

Smart Aiming SFSE - Third to First Person
Personally, I use it in combination with my mod but you may prefer to just ditch this mod in favour of that one :)
