    Hey, quick question.

I'm using Vortex, and I put the Improved Combat AI.esm in the plugins.txt file in C:\Users file path.

However, when I right click on the "Improved Combat AI - Plugins.txt" mod in my Vortex UI, and select "open file location," it takes me to a different file path - User\ AppData\Roaming\Vortex\starfield\mods. That folder has a different plugins.txt file. Do I need to add the Improved Combat AI.esm line to this file as well? Thanks.

When you right-click the mod name in Vortex and click the "path location" there, it will take you to where Vortex "stages" the mods before the program deploys them. If you want to see if the files are all in the correct place, you need to go to the folder icon at the top of the mod list and click "open game mods folder." The AI.esm should be in your data folder there.

The plugin.txt file you want to double-check/upkeep is in C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Starfield

Might  be helpful newbies to mention You must manually write
    *Improved Combat AI.esm
in your plugins.txt or it wont work

Here is one way to make mods working  ( Mostly )

      Spoiler:
      Show

      Go get

      NMMce
      https://www.nexusmods.com/site/mods/305?tab=description
      NMMce Discord
      https://discord.com/invite/JZ4tZ5KFQX

      Plugins.txt Enabler
      https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/4157

      Baka Disable My Games Folder
      https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/1599

      UNINSTALL MODS
      UNINSTALL VORTEX

Install NMMce THEN  (Install this 2 with NMMce )  Plugins.txt Enabler AND Baka Disable My Games Folder

Install your mods with NMMce and you never (?) will have a problem again  =)
When downloading mods, use the vortex button.

Here is Plugins.txt if you really need to check it

      In you'r StarfieldCustom.ini
( if you don't have it, make it using a text reader, notpad, notpad++)
Starfield.ini works too, but better to use StarfieldCustom.ini so you don't have to clutter Starfield.ini
      Lokated here
      C:\Users\"your name"\Documents\My Games\Starfield

      AND
If you have ANY sTestFile in ANY xxxxxxx.ini file --- REMOVE them.

      It just works

Question on how to modify the StarfieldCustom.ini file when I want to use both this mod and Stealth Overhaul.

Is this the correct format? Could you give an example in the Description for a case like this?

    sStartingConsoleCommand=bat othermods;bat StealthOverhaul;bat ImprovedCombatAI

Whats the plugin name we have to add to the plugin text file? It says that there's more info in the downloaded txt file but there isn't anything

If you go into the DATA Folder in your Starfield installation, you can find all the ESM files there.

I see the file 'Improved Combat AI.esm'

But in the plugin txt file all the files are without spaces. Can I please get clarification on the exact wording of the line in the text file I need to add? Currently I have things like:
      *BetterShipPartFlips.esm
      *All_Parts_No_Sat.esm

You use the exact name of the plugin you downloaded. In this case, it's called "Improved Combat AI.esm".

But ESM plugins are not as stable and safe to use. It may be outdated but isnt it safer? I dont know much about modding but I tried my best to follow the steps and use plugins and It seems to be alot harder to manage. Would the old .Bat files still work?

    @IxionXVII

Is it normal mobs to raise lvl ?
Fauna and Enemy are above expected lvls. ( Vanilla - Kreet fauna is max lvl 5. ( terrormorph beying lvl 10 ) I have saw lvl5 crabs from Kreet are lvl 10 now.

Does enemy raise to your lvl now? ( or close to your lvl )

    Hi,
I install all of my MODs manually. Does the v1.03 file now go in the following:

    • SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Starfield\Data
    Or the following:

    • SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Starfield\Data\SFSE\Plugins
    Thank you.

      Hey,
that depends on the mod. This mod's plugin version is packaged into the Data folder and is supposed to be copied in there.

Thanks man. Didn't know there was a difference between the plugins. One more question; for the Plugins.txt file, you have to enter the line *Improved Combat AI.esm for this. Is this just for this plugin or do all plugins work that way now?
