So I have to keep this mod in my LO to not have my save game be corrupted. Thankfully, that does work even though the mod doesn't work anymore because CPE is not updated yet. I hope that will happen soon. I love this mod.
Hey idk if im just dumb but im on pc and m&k ( mouse and keyboard) but i when i go through the list of "binding" i cant seem to find the manual weapon stance to bind a key into. and it also says that 'x' is the default key. but when i press it, nothing happens... ( i could be just really dumb and missed a key detail but yeah. help would be nice bc this mod is pretty cool.
The Key is defined in the .ini file located at Data\SFSE\ManualWeaponStance. Have you made sure, you actually have loaded the .esm file that the mod comes with?
im using vortex to manage the mod entirely. as im running constellation by v2 and starvfield too. but ill try to check out the .ini file and the .esm file.
Don't know if you are still playing but if you have a hotkeys.ini setup from another mod add iKeyCode=XX(Whatever yours is binded to) to it. Whether it be located in Data/Hotkeys or Documents/mygames/Starfield hotkeys.ini. You can be safe and just add it to both. Solved my issue. Nevermind
I noticed a few people having trouble where the mod seemingly won't work. If it isn't working, please ensure you are launching Starfield via the SKSE launcher. If you are launching from vortex, ensure vortex is launching via the skse launcher.
Yes please do! That lower weapon mod for Fo4 (hold "reload" on controller or keyboard) to lower weapon stance was simple yet fantastic. Using another mod to lower weapons after 10 seconds currently, but holding down a key/button instead would be great!
Just scrolling mods for now but this in an instant essential for me! Just yesterday I checked for something like this. Any chance to add controller support of some kind at any time in the eventual future? :D All the best and kudos!
Thank you for considering! @Jakeola1 mentioned the use of steam input. I'll take a look at it tomorrow but some official implementation would be great. Double-tapping or pressing two buttons at once maybe. But I have no idea if that's even possible. Thanks in advance for trying!
Both would end up triggering the action behind it anyway. A controller does not have a lot of buttons, so the only option would be to try out and bind the key to the unequip/reload key and see how it turns out. But this could trigger the reload action as well. Else, I have no ideas right now
Fixed it! I ended up binding the input to a long press of the A button on the controller! Long pressing A on the controller now translates to pressing X on the keyboard and triggers the hotkey without a problem. Absolute game changer. Thank you very much!
EDIT I: I ended up editing the bind to a double tap the A button because the long press would conflict with some interactions during space gameplay.
EDIT II: For anyone looking to setup this mod via steam input, - click here!
I've never liked the way the mod handles weapon holstering — you sometimes have to do it twice just to put your weapon away. Even so, I tried the method the mod uses, and I can confirm it doesn't work in Starfield.
