Hello, any chances for a reupload of source code so I could give a shot and try to update it to work with current version of script extender? It would be just for personal use and I wouldn't reupload it without your permission. I read the older posts, please don't let this mod go to waste just because of rude or demanding people. Also I see some people did download the source code while it was uploaded so some people did care, please don't let the silence from those people that downloaded it but didn't comment make you leave this mod in a limbo, maybe they just didn't have anything good to say or add. this mod is feature complete.
This really is a great mod, love it. I agree the game is not as well done as it could have been. I am giving the game another shot, but, not purchasing the rather lame DLC. Don't like NG+ at all. Occasionally, I will start a new character from scratch, just because I kind of like the ground combat and the character dialog. That being said. It would be much more fun with this mod. Space combat is so wonky without it. Just letting you know, since I saw no posts since Nov 2024, that there is still someone out here who would enjoy the game more with your mod in the world. Totally understand your not wanting to spend time modding a game you don't like though. Either way, thanks for this mod, it helped me enjoy the game a lot more when I was able to use it.
Not dead, just temporarily put on hold, because I cbf keeping 100+ gigs just to update a mod for a game that is barely fun to play. So ye, waiting for CK. And that sweet sweet rover update.
(Xilandro, may 15th 2024)
Will you be updating the mod since the Creation Kit just dropped?
(benlomby, june 10th 2024)
probably will wait for shattered space DLC and more fixes.
@ Lucifuga35 I don't consider modders owe us anything and I respect their work ; and it's not my schedule, it's his (CK, Shattered space). I'm just pointing out he is not a man of his word. He could just have said : "Guys, I just don't have anymore time for this ; I'll maybe update one day but don't count on it." But he kept hopes up for nothing... I personnally don't care anymore about this mod so, good luck with it ! ;-)
Hey buddy, No idea whats happening, but if some people pissed you off, you should do the same. Release the updated version for like 100 credits on creation store? Just an idea. Cause honestly this mod is life changing and I wouldnt say that about a lot of mods.
Thanks take care, also thanks for the mod I had the pleasure of using it when it just came out
Don't think he can because of the SFSE requirement. Unless it's possible without it now that the Creation Kit is released. That would be great though, would definitely support it.
Did you check whether the people who asked for it were even aware that it was available? Did you consider at least some of them may have attempted to do something with it but had no success? Did you consider that others might want to do something with it?
Author on a personal note, there are a lot of jerks on Nexus this is true, and you've unfortunately had a few of them, but I for one, appreciate this mod, and the fact you took time out of your busy life to make it at all. Believe it or not, its a very must have mod, and you did a great job on it. I am hoping the CK will help make the update process, a bit more pain-free.
A lot of us here, do really appreciate you and this mod!
@Xilandro I understand, but I hope you choose to update the mod - it's an amazing fix to the otherwise poor flight mechanics, and it fills a very important niche. It really is such a shame that Bethesda doesn't have flightstick support for Starfield :(
@Xilandro thats extremely, extremely disappointing to hear. This mod fixes the flight mechanics, and there are a lot of people as you can see who are FANS of this mod, and for you to first tell us you were waiting for the CK release, only to then tell us your going to wait until the DLC release, is extremely disappointing to say the least. This is a critical must have mod. Its really a shame you wont update it when you have so many people who love this mod you created and who used this mod and depended on it for better more controllable flight mechanics.
@Phayntom Sorry to disappoint, but I won't force myself to work on a game I don't enjoy playing (for now). It's my free time, and modding is my hobby, I'm not here to make you happy, I'm here to make ME happy. If I don't feel like doing something - I won't do it, no matter how much it might disappoint an entitled attachment to my hobby.
@benlomby fingers crossed DLC and more fixes will get me back into the game. Because I really just can't play it as it is right now. Also with CK out now - there's a chance somebody will make a mod that I'll get interested to try.
The experimental one is already a step towards it but the controls fix I want to see for this game is the ability to use the thrusters with separate mappings, without having to use a modifier key, and proper mapping for joysticks, throttles and other input devices. That would make space combat actually fun.
Nor should you be expected to mod a game you don't play. The mod was a big help but I would never request that you do something you don't enjoy. I understand, I'm quite disappointed with SF. I play a lot and enjoy it but it's almost just Skyrim with space paint on it. Which is ok, I like Skyrim. SF dould have been awesome but instead it's just OK. I think they too focused on money and DEI to make a great game. Hopefully they learned a lesson and the SS DLC will be much better but I'm not holding my breath. It seems whoever is hold the reins at Bethesda, MS, starfield or whoever's making the calls is trying to turn a single player game into 76. So sad, a once great and passionate game maker dragged into mediocrity by greed and social agenda. And there not the only ones. I been watching for 40 years and I saw it coming. When Games started making huge amounts of money because of passion, creativity and a love of creating them, the bean counters would move in to squeeze the cash out of it. Oh well I can always go back to Fallout 3 and oldrim for my bethesda fix. If I hit the power ball, I'll put a ton of it into making a great SKYRIM, FALLOUT, SF type game. I'll make the game, sell it to ya and leave you alone until a DLC comes out or the next game...you know, Like Bethesda used to do. LOL
Well Phayntom first, saying you appreciate him and his mod. Then got a response that's not please you and, then, it's extremely disappointing and a shame? Nice double standard you got there
Real fans of the mod, would appreciate the already done work, and understand when the modder, lose the interest on the Game/Modding for that game.
It's his hobby, and not work. He maybe said he will update it once CK came out, but when he lose interest, its fine. I just hope for the DLC Release, and see if he still didn't have fun with the game, or again have fun and motivation for it.
But I totally understand, his side, and your argumentation about, many players have this mod as a must-have, don't change anything about this. You call to him, that's disappointing and a shame that he not update it, on a mod he gave to use for free and spend his spare time for it.
Like you had any right to insist on it.
TL;DR - If Starfield would fix this behaviour, a lot of players don't like, it would not need a Modder to spend his spare time to fix it. I really appreciate any modder work, because it's safes the game! And if someone take a break from the game and modding, I understand it.

Oh! Yes that would be awesome, on the search for this, I came to this mod page.
