Author on a personal note, there are a lot of jerks on Nexus this is true, and you've unfortunately had a few of them, but I for one, appreciate this mod, and the fact you took time out of your busy life to make it at all. Believe it or not, its a very must have mod, and you did a great job on it. I am hoping the CK will help make the update process, a bit more pain-free.
A lot of us here, do really appreciate you and this mod!
@Xilandro I understand, but I hope you choose to update the mod - it's an amazing fix to the otherwise poor flight mechanics, and it fills a very important niche. It really is such a shame that Bethesda doesn't have flightstick support for Starfield :(
@Xilandro thats extremely, extremely disappointing to hear. This mod fixes the flight mechanics, and there are a lot of people as you can see who are FANS of this mod, and for you to first tell us you were waiting for the CK release, only to then tell us your going to wait until the DLC release, is extremely disappointing to say the least. This is a critical must have mod. Its really a shame you wont update it when you have so many people who love this mod you created and who used this mod and depended on it for better more controllable flight mechanics.
@Phayntom Sorry to disappoint, but I won't force myself to work on a game I don't enjoy playing (for now). It's my free time, and modding is my hobby, I'm not here to make you happy, I'm here to make ME happy. If I don't feel like doing something - I won't do it, no matter how much it might disappoint an entitled attachment to my hobby.
@benlomby fingers crossed DLC and more fixes will get me back into the game. Because I really just can't play it as it is right now. Also with CK out now - there's a chance somebody will make a mod that I'll get interested to try.
Not dead, just temporarily put on hold, because I cbf keeping 100+ gigs just to update a mod for a game that is barely fun to play. So ye, waiting for CK. And that sweet sweet rover update.
I really appreciate Xilandro adding the source because it will allow others to see what the code is doing and to learn from it. Personally, if I was more of an intermediate with C++ I would connect the Address Library for SFSE Plugins Offsets to this source code to give it a larger lasting compatibility with game versions. Then I'm sure an automated system could be implemented so it wouldn't have to ever be manually updated by the mod dev. I'm still learning but that's just my take - either way, very great mod and hopefully we see more from Xilandro when Creation Kit is released. Fingers crossed that it's within this year.
I am hopeful as well, because although I am not bad with the in-game flying controls, this mod gives flying in combat more of a precision feel to it that you just cant get without it.
From the mod description: Several people have expressed an interest in obtaining the source so that this mod can be updated. Could you please provide it?
This is an actual .dll file so it needs to be complied. Unfortunately, without the source code, no one can make it work with newer version of Starfield. I am a Linux software engineer and I would be happy to obtain whatever compiler is required to recompile this software.
oh well another good mod gone no telling when CK will be out so guess I am done with Starfield until ck is out such a shame too. I mean I can understand all positions, but to me when a mod is created before ck is out then mod creator says enough that is kind of heart breaking especially when they get people invested in their mods.
Not having CK exacerbates the problem significantly, as it restricts our ability as a community to work on systemic changes or add content to the game. Personally, I'm not keen on keeping around ~120 gigs of a dead game on my drive, merely to update a mod every time Bethesda releases another trivial update, instead of focusing on systemic changes that could actually make the game more enjoyable to play. I'm sorry.

Thanks for the mod anyway!
I hope it still works with newest version, this was a masterpiece of genius.
Or are you waiting for CK?
So that was a lie
