Once I loaded the mod, looked throughout my inventory for TOKENs, only to find out that MINE shows up in MISC as CREDITS. All functionality is great.. moved some to storage container and gave 50mil to my doctor.. she doesn't DO anything, but she looks good (after some tweaks).
Really good idea. The first thing I wanted to do in Starfield was to put creds on the floor. I searched for minutes before realizing that you can't... I don't remember if in Fallout you can do it too with caps, I mean why you can put gold on floor in Skyrim but in the other recent Bethesda games you can't ? lol
I see your other mod in the Creation, great idea too ! But for this one I don't paid for mods and I don't use Creation site and I ignore it for... well, stability purpose (patchs, mods conflicts, etc.). Still I understand that today nexus should pay active modders in one way or another, I mean, without modders Nexus would be nothing and they make money on your back in a way that I find a little hypocritical, through this controversy over paid mods. It would be much more motivating for the community to work together rather than separately if they do that.
Hey Korodic, thanks for all the great mods you provide for our game, i may have half a dozen of them in my load order, you're a legend. I love your essential ship mods like useful brigs. I've heard a lot about a 'useful mess hall' mod that I can't find anywhere here, really attractive concept, the title sound like something coming form your master craft, is it the case and is there anyway to have something equivalent or some light version on the nexus ? (Perhaps it's a priced mod and that's why it's not on the nexus ?). In any case you rock, keep up bringing essential stuff to our community.
Thank you for the compliment! Yes some of my content is exclusive to Creations. Light versions are actually frowned upon if not directly against Nexus policy as an “inferior version”. Patches for these paid content also cannot be posted on Nexus (with one exception, which is be listed as an optional file to an existing free mod) as part of that new policy a link to this policy and a thoughtful explanation of one of Skyrims top authors is provided here: https://www.reddit.com/r/starfieldmods/s/Ty83Pn1jj6
Both free and paid content are planned going forward.
Damn, so Nexus 'anti-promotional abuse' measures deprive us of some great mods light versions. Really too bad, but it seems reasonable though. And do you know if it's technically possible to release paid mods on Creations while there's a free (non 'inferior') version on Nexus or it is also made impossible by Creations or Nexus (as counter-intuitive it may sound, i know) ?
It’s possible but also unlikely. Nexus provides incentives via Donations Points where as Bethesda is paid or nothing. Maintaining two branches of the same content is also a huge negative for support and admin work (this will be the same issue for achievement friendly/paid versions of free content). Nexus is definitely correct in their approach for getting ahead of potential issues. My only issue is about patches. But I think the community has said their piece as this seemed to be a general consensus and Nexus has spoken they are certain of their current position. It’s unfortunate, but it is what it is.
quick question - does this allow you to see the 'stolen' vs 'not stolen' flag on the credits (or maybe dropping them with this mod removes any link like that?)? I'd be happy to be able to 'stash' my stolen credits. in the base game it "remembers" and you lose them if arrested, but you have no idea prior to the guard taking them.
Stolen isn't a consideration at this time, not because I won't support it but just because I hadn't considered it. I will look it over and see if I can make it fit. The only issue perhaps would be needing to "clean" credits. Maybe this could be a thing for Shinya with the fleet.
