the weightless resources only work in player inventory but not in ship inventory ;o[
in ship inventory they show as having no weight and on the root screen where you see totals for each category also shows reduced weight for the resource category but the actual ship total cargo mass is still counting normally and once filled storing any additional items is disabled
I was trying to id a bug in my mod setup and noticed that after uninstalling your mod, all the gameplay options for weight are still there.
Is there anything special I need to do to fully uninstall or is this not something you would expect to happen?
Btw the bug isn't related to your mod. Although I installed it, I never got around to actually using it/changing any weights before I noticed that it wasn't fully uninstalling.
Does this mod touch ship parts? They are technically an aid item, but for ships hahahah. I wanted to make a mod that makes repair % per second slower and reduces their insane weight of 10 units lol. I will definitely be using this for the added exp boost (I play a hard survival like game so this option is incredibly welcome!)
It does affect ship parts if you select Medical Supplies weight. I've toyed with the idea of leaving it out and instead including it in this mod though. That currently only increases the rate at which ship parts repair your ship.
Neat. I already started using the mod lol. I like the idea of the auto threshold from the other one because it's tedious to press O and I'm too much of a knob to rebind the key. Will keep using this one for now, appreciate it.
With this mod ship parts weight 0 in your inventory but in ship's cargo, although it shows 0 but if you look to the bottom of the screen it still has normal weight.
I love this. Adjusting weights is one of the best ways to introduce survival mechanics into Bethesda games.
I wonder if it would be possible to differentiate between worn space suits (and helmets/packs) and unworn ones? I say this because I always like to make my armor in Skyrim and Fallout 4 weightless (or partially weighted) when worn, simulating the distribution of weight on the player's body, while unworn items would maintain their normal weights. Of course if all space suits (worn and unworn) are weightless, it would ruin the economy because I could carry an infinite number of armor items as loot.
I'm not sure the game really tracks in any way whether equipment has already been used or not. It's a little outside of the scope of this mod I'm afraid but a nice idea.
