So for anyone wondering, I'm completely working in the blind with this mod. We currently have no tools to visualize mesh files and textures correctly. What I did is basically just swap meshes of the ranger armor for some of the spaceborn ones. As soon as more tools are available I'll work out another version with each variant of the spaceborn armor eventually.
This mod is a WIP. I'll eventually fix all the textures issues.
I have a pretty radical idea. Have you ever considered making one armor, one backback, one helmet and apply all looks in the game as mod in the skins slot? If that is even possible.
My idea behind that is to disconnect "looks" from "gameplay". Making the visual a mod itself. But leave the items otherwise fully moddable to stats and bonuses.
I would appreciate it if this could have separate files to replace the Mantis armor and helmet. I'm not changing into a worse armor set just for the looks. The best solution would be a proper transmog feature for the game, but until that happens, we can only hope that the modding community can offer changed appearances on our favorite armor sets. Thanks for your hard work!
Please help me: the mod is not working for me. I'm pretty sure I've done everything right but the ranger spacesuit is not replaced by the starborn spacesuit.
I have: 1. made the custom ini file and other mods I've installed work 2. placed the meshes folder inside my Data folder in Documents
Tha lnk you for this mod! Question; am I able to hide the Starborn helmet in oxygen rich environments with this mod, or is the helmet a part of the suit and not removable at all?
A way I have found to get the weapon selected more reliably to get it's ref id is to drop it, then crouch and walk into it to nudge the weapon, moving it a little bit. Then open console and try to get the ref id again, doing this method works FAR more reliably for me, hopefully it will for others as well.
