Hi, thanks for this awesome mod. Just wondering would it be possible to get an update where level 60 can be chosen as the cut off as that is the minimum level to make sure that all ship parts are unlocked and we have access to all weapons and armours (except some higher quality versions of the same things). It just seems 50 is a little to low and 75 is a little too high. This would be incredible if you can do this. Thank you either way.
Hi there! I'm really fond of the settings in your mod, especially how it works in tandem with enemy leveling—I've set the cap at level 100. However, I've noticed that my experience points are still increasing very slowly (from 41 to 51), and I'm not even sure where these slight boosts are coming from. I'm wondering if these minor increments in experience could eventually push me beyond the 100-level cap. Could you shed some light on this? Thanks!
I apologize for the unclear expression, as I am using translation software to communicate. In the character status screen, I can see the current level, the experience required for the next level, and the current experience points. What I mean is, after setting the level cap to 100, I noticed that my current experience points still increased from 41 to 51 (the source of these 10 experience points is unknown). I'm concerned that if such unknown increases happen repeatedly, could the character's level eventually exceed 100? Or does this mod ensure that even if the current experience points reach the required amount for leveling up, the character still won't level up?
It's ok, no worries! This mod ensures that after reaching your set limit, you will stop earning experience points altogether. Essentially, any new experience you'd be earning is multiplied by 0.
The issue is that I have already reached level 100, and my character's experience points have slightly increased in the game (from 41 to 51). I directly used console commands to reach level 100. Could this be the source of the issue?
Huh. I don't think that would be the source of the issue.. If you try to deliberately earn experience through regular play (like crafting or scanning a planet, etc.) do you still earn additional xp?
After using the level cap mod, I also used a mod that disables experience gain notifications, so I didn't notice the source of this experience gain. I will disable this UI mod and play for a while to try to identify the source of the experience gain. If I find it, I will report it to you here.
This is cool to see in a mod. I'd done a full run, using console commands, locked at level one, all the way into NG+, and the effect on the game is fascinating. I really recommend it for experienced players in particular, since it horribly breaks your brain's presumptions about how the game works (which is doesn't if you don't have expectations already from playing it for 1000 hours).
Corollary: No skill is essential. But pick your background carefully, since its three skills will definitely affect your play.
I haven't tried this mod yet, since I'd done my level one run, but I hope you can set it per character, instead of a global you have to go fiddle with when you change between characters.
Nice idea and I think I'd like to try it out alongside the Delayed Shattered Space mod. One question I have is if I set this to level cap at say 34, when I eventually remove the player level cap and/or raise it is all the XP I would've gained added retroactively or will I just start gaining XP again like normal? (I'm hoping for the latter) Edit: disregard that. I had a blank moment and completely missed that this as set level cap configurations in place . Head cold is messing with my processing capacity
Great mod. Health doesn't increase beyond 2190 after you reaching lv 100. The Lv 150 cap gives more room to take on more skills. Maxing out wellness trait your health is increased to 3280. It's highest anyone can have regardless of level after 101.
I didn't add in the very small health gain from clothing. Since it's a very trivial boost.
