This mod is built on TheDragonWithinMe's LUT mod - NaturaLUTs
The reshade uses three simple plugins:
HDR [FakeHDR.fx] - deepens blacks and improves 'washed out' look on HDR monitors
LumaSharpen [LumaSharpen.fx] - increases clarity on the fine details of objects
Deband [Deband.fx] - removes 'banding' issues on HDR monitors
(Brightness Version) PD80_04_Contrast_Brightness_Saturation.fx - Just increases brightness. Any brightness plugin will work for this, I just chose one at random. I found that mid day in the game wasnt very bright with the HDR settings, so I used a brightness.fx file to increase brightness without washing out the whites. If you feel the same this might fix your problem. Alternate version available for download now.
This reshade doesnt change the color palette, preserving the idea of the NaturaLUTs mod while implementing deeper blacks and fixing most of the banding issues on some HDR monitors, also implements lumasharpen to gain some clarity on objects.
For reference I am on a LGCX 4k display and the game is crisp and clear now. Tweaking reshade is easy, just hit "Home" to pull it up and then play with the sliders. If you mess it up, just hit the curved arrow by the slider you were playing with to reset to default value. You may want to tweak the deband or HDR black/white values, or turn off lumasharpen if the game is too sharp or you are stacking it with CAS and its oversharpened.
Performance Impact: On my 4090 I notice a drop of FPS around 5 fps or so, so Id classify this as mild to medium impact to performance. Feedback on this appreciated from other users. It might still be 5fps on other cards but it might be significantly more. But given that its only three things the impact should be minimal. The NaturaLUTs mod also should not be impacting performance at all.
