Superb. Despite being a story told mostly through text notes and environmental details, with just one voice actor with only a handful of lines, the story kept my attention and interest all the to the end. It managed to have enough emotional weight for me to actually care about these characters and want to know what happened.
The Galbank flavor notes and the engagement ring at the farmhouse were really good at fleshing out the details and making everything feel more real and impactful. Really great job with that, a real cherry on top.
I too had the go to coordinates then stuck progress bug. Easy enough to remedy with console commands as described in the other comment here. The only thing I did that might have been unanticipated behavior was kill everybody from really far away before I really got close to the coordinates. In case that’s helpful?
One minor immersion breaker for me was when I boarded the ship at the end and found the npc before following the quest marker to take the ladder down, that npc wouldn’t speak or respond to me in any way until I took the ladder down and checked off that quest stage. Just felt unrealistic and game-y that I had to check a box before this person acknowledged two armed people just boarded their ship. Again, minor issue that was easily addressed.
This is the best quest mod I’ve played for Starfield so far, and I really hope we get more from you. I’ve started Lazarus twice before deciding to change my load order and start over lol. But after this, I’ll definitely be finishing it next time I start it.
Really sorry you encountered a bug but I’m glad it didn’t spoil things too much, thank you so much for the detailed feedback, it really helps going forward so I really appreciate the time you’ve taken to reach out. There is more planned for future but they unfortunately take a long time to put together. Hope you enjoy Lazarus Awakened as well and thanks again
Hi, so glad you enjoyed it, thank you for the heads up re: Lucy’s voice volume. During the testing I had Barrett as my companion and matched her level to him but I think in hindsight that was a mistake as he’s a bit loud too 👍
Awwww I really want to finish this quest! I have the persistent quest marker for go to coordinates.. I got the tape, but Lucy won't talk to me again, just the same dialogue to go get the tape... any help here pls?
I’m so sorry to hear this has happened, it’s not a bug I have had reported before and once the tape has been picked up the script attached to the tape should recognise it has moved from the shelf into your inventory and fire the next objective. If your on console I don’t know what to suggest but if you are on pc you could try using console commands to advance the stage and see if that works for you. There’s a good explanation on how to do that on Reddit and you can find it in the link below, I hope that help and sorry again to hear this has happened to you.
Yes, I have the same problem. If I "travel to the coordinates" and walk to the platform in front of the entrance where the location is marked, the marker is not removed if i walk over it. In a youtube video the mission step "travel to the coordinates" is checked at this point. But in my game it stays, and so I always had 2 mission targets. Going further, I also cannot talk to Lucy if I had the tape... so any solution ? Reinstall ? Always load an old save an played again, but that does't help....
Fixed with this: 1. open console (key "ö" (german) maybe "~") 2. enter >help regrets 4 quest 3. look at output and search for quest id 4. search for QUEST Id: output: "quest xx02f262" 5. enter >sqs xx02f262 6. output: Quest: 001STRegretsQuest -ö Running - Current Stage:90 ...Done: 90 ... Not set: 100 7. So you are at stage 90 and must enter 100. To do this.. 8. enter >setstage xx02f262 100
Hi, thank you for reporting, so sorry, I haven’t been able to replicate this in further testing and no-one has come forward with any working solutions so I have to suspect it may be a mod conflict. There isn’t really anything I can suggest apart from using console commands on pc to advance the quest stage, if you do find a solution for this please let me know as I would really like to be able to help anyone running into this if possible, thank you again for reporting that in.
It's absolutely mind-boggling that this mod was made by one person. This questline was so good. I didn't even run into any glitches- save for when I tried to approach the blacksite and nothing happened. I still don't know why I can't progress, but either way, this is a great addition to the game and you should be incredibly proud
Regardless how many times that I read the slate (the one I found in the cold storage room?) it doesn't register as completed, and the special tape to repair Lucy's ship is no where to be found. Its not inside the shed, behind or outside the shed, and I even used a console command to look under the shed to see if perhaps it had fallen through. Nada.
Hi that slate has a script on it “OnContainerChange” which basically means the objective completes and the next stage is set when it is picked up. If picked up before the relevant stage you just need to drop it on the floor and pick it up again, and that should sort that out. I’m hoping once that objective is complete and your back on track the tape will appear in the shed. From memory (I’m out and about and not near my PC) the tape has a condition on it to appear, that basically the previous objective has been completed. Hopefully dropping that slate and picking it up again will get everything slotting back into place.
Thank you for your quick response ! So when I logged back into the game the missing special vac tape had spawned in the shed, lol. I went inside the complex to the cold storage room and dropped/picked up Lucy's tape as you suggested and that indeed triggered that portion of the quest as having been completed. Aside from that little detour I really enjoyed this little quest of yours and I sincerely hope that you make more. Really nice work :-)
Thank you so much and I’m so pleased you managed to complete it ok in the end. I have more planned and I’m working on another faction quest atm but I’m may be a little while before it’s finished as I’m juggling builders and home improvements atm, but I’m really enjoying creating them so there will def be more 👍
Nice work, thanks for that. I did make the mistake of not picking up the quest items in the right order and I had some problems from that, but your vid helped me sort them out.
So, im stuck. I have a marker to get the duct tape, but also to read a slate. Cant find a slate I havent picked up or terminal i havent used. Problem is when i enter Blacksite, the marker has me exit the site, go back to my ship and the markers re appear and i have to go back to blacksite lol.
Hi there, not sure what’s happened there or which slate that might be but if you have the objective to collect the duct tape after going to Lucy’s ship then picking that up from the shed at the back of the landing pad at the rear of the black site up the hill past the wind turbines then that’s the last thing to do before returning to her ship and handing it in. Once you then jump to another system after her final dialogue the quest will complete and it’s set up to clear all outstanding objectives and quest markers if there are any left over in case anything happens so you’re not left with any persistent objectives. The slate might be the one in the Cold Store room in the black site maybe? I have a walkthrough on my channel if it helps find which slate it is, hope that helps, here’s the link https://youtu.be/RmkFYk7Zexc?si=Pzesb5LzpBcxXTmb
there is a quest stopping bug at wagoners farm where the quest marker dissapears at "search for the diary". No diary nowhere in a mile to be found, how do i fix this?
Hi there, if you check out the vid link at 6.00 it will show my character walking up the stairs to get the diary on the desk in the bedroom, picking up the diary advances the quest to the next stage as it has a ‘on container change’ script on it. As long as the diary is on the desk and you pick it up the quest will advance. If the diary is completely missing from the desk shown in the vid then that may be a mod conflict, I am only guessing on that as I have never heard of this happening before and something may have stopped that quest alias from filling. I am hoping the diary is on the desk and picking it up will get you up and running again. If not I would try adjusting the load order to have the quest load before other mods. Here’s the vid link of where the diary should be, really sorry this has happened to you https://youtu.be/RmkFYk7Zexc?si=6U5iXJ1b5BcNB9wK

thanks for the quality content.
One thing of note, the NPC at the end has their voice lines a bit louder than the dialogue of other NPCs.

Any ideas?
Lots of good story line could easily have been part of the base game
well done!

Good quest for low-level characters, well written, fits very well into Starfield's world.
