    Hotfix V1.1a
Unfortunately, a serious error occurred in V1.1. If you have already downloaded V1.1,
please do not execute the Debug -> Remove all Containers function.
All items in the portable containers will be lost. They will NOT be
    moved to your own inventory.

First many thanks for this mod that works prefect, as author says i kinda feel like cheating a little but i guess i can't live without it now :)

Sorry if it's stupid questions but first is is there a console command to drop my container on the ground so i could create a hotkey without the need to go in inventory ?

Second is i lost track of my container during gameplay (i surely forgot to take it back after using it) but couldn't find it anywhere after, not saying it disapeared huh just me unable to find where i left it.
So i use the debug command on another empty container i had and as described i could get all of my main portable container's content in my inventory.
Thing, as described again, is it make all portable containers disappear so i end up overcharged during mission with no workbench near.
I thought i could use console command "help portable container" to use "player.additem <id>" after to get another container.
Help command worked fine and gave me:
CONT : (FE0066806) 'portable container' line (the one i should use for player.additem i presume)
    And also:
QUST : pcContainerQuest (FE0066801) 'portable container'
Problem (if any) is player.additem FE0066806 (or quest ID one) doesn't work on my side, console says "invalid inventory object 'fe0066806' for parameter Object ID" and then "Compiled script not saved!"
I had to make long low overcharged  trip to a worbench to create another container then (didn't think about console "coc <somewhere near worbench>", guess it would have save me some time lol).

Second question is not that much important if my lack of attention happens to me again if now i think about using a "coc" command but first one (console command to drop container on the gound>hotkey) would be very welcome if one exists already or can be done in any way.

    Thks again.

      Hi,
unfortunately not, as these are miscellaneous objects to which no favorites button can be assigned.

Second is i lost track of my container during gameplay (i surely forgot to take it back after using it) but couldn't find it anywhere after, not
saying it disapeared huh just me unable to find where i left it.

I have good news for your second question. I have added a debug function that allows you to move lost or forgotten containers back to you. It doesn't matter whether you have placed them in another container or inventory or dropped them on the ground somewhere in the game world.

Just as an aside, since these are object references, you won't have any success with player.additem. This only allows you to add base references to the inventory, i.e. the empty containers that you can create on the workbench.

Can you pick up a container once it's placed on the ground?

All I see in the description is the ability to add or take from the container, or delete the container.

Yes, of course. You can pick it up and put it down anywhere like any other item.

This looks very interesting! A multi-dimensional inventory ... you have my attention haha. I will be trying this out. I have a few high level, low hanging fruit / clarification questions about the intended functionality (whether currently reflected or WIP):

    • Is it fair to assume the transdimensional aspect of this with regards to storage mass will functionally transcend player inventory capacity mechanics? I.e. this would provide infinite storage carry capacity given it has no limit itself? or would the mass contained resolve to that of the player inventory?
    • I think the answer is yes, but is the intention to be able to carry multiple of these in one's inventory at the same time? or you can spawn multiple portable containers into the world but can only pick up one such container into your inventory at a time?

    • Would there be a way to rename the item dynamically (like at the equipment workbenches?) to be able to give it a meaningful label to indicate the contents / purpose? if renaming is not implemented, but I do so via my own means such as Rename Anything or console command, will the break some functionality given this mod implementation? or is it REF ID base? I think you'd have a bunch of - Portable Containers - in inventory and not know which is what?
    • A suggestion for optional making this mod immersive / not OP if that is something interesting to support -- make this thing cost a fortune, like what one would think a trans-dimensionally engineered container might cost technology wise. whether via the crafting recipe or the $$ to purchase. That way there's an incentive to work to obtain a pretty unique item.

      1. The idea of the container arose because I was repeatedly hindered by my own overloading while testing my mods. So I created it without a memory limit to start with. This means that the container has no memory limit. However, this could change in the future, as I am not a fan of cheating.

2.You can create multiple containers (up to 128) and place them in the world and also store them independently of each other in your inventory.

3.Yes, I thought of that too, but I don't yet know of a way to open a window in the game to enter text. Therefore, the only option at the moment is to use a console command, as you already wrote. But since it is a normal misc item, renaming it in no way affects its function.

4.I have also thought about it. At first I thought that this container would consume large amounts of material during production, but then I dismissed the idea. But increasing the production costs a lot to make it a valuable item is a good idea.
I would also like to change the 3D model, but unfortunately I haven't found anything suitable yet.
You could also use an alien object (with graphical effects) as a container and create a whole story around it. That explains the origin of this extraordinary object. Unfortunately, I'm not a 3D artist who can build something like that. It would have to be done by others.

Awesome. Thanks for the detailed responses. I installed and will be checking it out.
