I added 2 new versions while leaving the old version as an optional download.
The new versions are plugins and do not depend on Real Time Form Patcher. One of them includes integration with "Equipment Upgrading" which adds the ability to upgrade the quality of the weapon.
I like it. Will use it for sure. Thanks! It adds a new dimension to smuggling. It would perhaps be less realistic, but also interesting to have an optional mod to make the Kore Kinetics (Magpulse, etc.)weapons contraband outside of Neon or something. Make a gun runner role-playing scenario out of it.
It most definitely does not make sense. In that case all free star weapons should be prohibited in u.c. space because they fought the colony war. Blatant late century racism and you need every zealot to hunt you down with a vengeance.

*EDIT* -Good news, they don't scan for her default weapon. She has it equipped just fine. -Bad news, you cannot give your companions the weapon to equip. I have to write that disclaimer and try to make a new version to address that.
Gonna see how the enemies behave with this active. -Good news, they use them to fight you just fine.

I'm just fine continuing with the RTFP version, right? It is not inferior???
That's about it, really.
You can keep using the RTFP version if you are ok with not having that, but constantly worrying about having a contraband weapon might get annoying.
Also, the non-RTFP version would require patching if another mod affects the weapons.
That's why I made a patch for the upgrade mod, which I use. ^_^
well, at least being hunted will be interesting lol
But my main question is what about companions? In particular Andreja and her stock Inflictor which can't be removed.
