I do appreciate the work you've put into this, especially considering the lack of other skins for melee weapons out there, but I'd be remiss if I didn't also say that these really should not be one solid going over, as it were. Like, leaving aside why anyone would want a wakizashi painted in aquatic camo, applying that camo to the entire weapon leaves you feeling less like you've got a beautifully decorated sword and more like you're swinging around a big blue bar that happens to cut things. If I could continue with the wakizashi as an example, the skin even changes the habaki and while in the case of (for example) the snow camo, that doesn't look too bad, it's still rather jarring to see something only distinguishable from the blade itself by virture of the fact that it's slightly thicker. My point is essentially that applying the same colour scheme to the whole thing is not always a good idea (from my experience thus far, it's worst on the UC Cutlass), so perhaps if you ever do an update, you might consider changing up the tone, shade or intensity when it comes to the blade itself. Either way, the fact that you've actually bothered to make the thing in the first place is still very much appreciated.
Thanks I appreciate any feedback i get. I personally like the fully wrapped look but thats why we mod, to tailor our games how we want. I made the water camo and really liked it, even more so when i realized the UC uniform overhaul mod for sysdef uses a similar camo. so things match up well with all those great armors.
Yeah, I can certainly appreciate that! I just feel like you should still be able to distinguish parts of a melee weapon without having to really look for the sharp bit, if that makes any sense.
Thanks! I've been trying to fill in the gaps for weapons considering how often we use them, youre right about the spice. I like changing my loadout based on planet and mission.
I've been putting the finishing touches on my Starfield build and the timing of your mods couldn't be better. What I really like about your packs as well is that if I don't like a particular skin, I can find a replacer version and just copy the textures over, using your mod as the core infrastructure. So I really appreciate what you're doing.
Perfect! I go through the trouble of building the avm data from scratch for this reason instead of material swaps. It allows for more control of the files paths so it's easy to add more skins or change .dds files for more customization.
