To find the perk ID's easier, type help "Weightless" or help "Half Weight" in the game console. Those are the perk ID's you should be using with player.addperk
If nothing comes up when doing this, you are not loading the file properly.
so this mod DID work for me as per the description. but i use MO2 and LOOT is absolutely unhappy with this being a esp and not an esm. so i saved it as a light esm in the starfield creation kit and reinstalled it in my load order that way. Do you think this should be fine? I made absolutely no changes to the plugin just made it a esm light plugin as per bethesda's current recommendations. I know the starfield modding scene has somewhat died lately but honestly the game has a lot of potential and its sometimes hard to figure out if most mods are working. Yours does work. the people who can't get it to work don't know how to use mods or follow instructions XD. Cheers!
Only works partially for me if I have the items in my inventory they weigh nothing if I put them into a cargohold of a ship the items have their normal weight but the inventory still shows that they weigh 0 but mass of the ship increases...
In case people still use this, this mod works perfectly.
STEAM: Find where your Starfield.exe location is at Once there open up the Data folder Place the Weightless.esp file in the folder Go back once to where .exe is Open the Starfield.ini, located right under the exe, with notepad++ (or equivalent) Under [General], type in sTestfile1=Weightless.esp You might need to change the "1" to a higher number based on how many esp mods you have. The number is just what load order you want it in
SAVE
Launch game Open the console command with ~ tilda key type in whichever perk you desire The X can be any number, "2" worked for me, so try 0-9 until it works Now you're weightless.
*.esp files can be loaded from the plugins.txt loader, and that's what everyone should use instead of the potentially problematic sTestFile method (see the last paragraph of this article, which may be old, but no research has (as far as i've seen) changed this recommendation)
i dont think this mod works with plugins enabler. i downloaded it with vortex and its in all the right places except the stest part of it. still doesnt work though.
Ive scoured the comments section here for ways to get this Weightless Mod working. Tried both the CustomINI and the Starfield.ini in the main install folder. Neither worked. Using help commands did not pull the perk codes up. If this games crafting system wasnt so bad...
