Hey perchik71...so I have been running CK PE for a while after I upgraded the RAM to 32gigs. I just put the latest update for Jan 25th and I am back to getting the Low memory msg and won't load now. Any suggestions?
D:\a\Creation-Kit-Platform-Extended\Creation-Kit-Platform-Kit ended\creation kit platform extended core\patches\menorymanagerpatch.cpp(440): LowMenory() Not enough memory to run the program
wondered if you have any idea on what causes something I've been running into for awhile now, using two screens, a 1080p monitor and a 4k oled tv, with render window on the 4k and everything else on the 1080p monitor, randomly when using CK i'll start loosing menus, usually starts with file menu but can be all menus, until yesterday I'd have to save and restart CK to get them back, usually just so I could convert to esm to test in game, yesterday found out if I drag CK over to the 4k display menus work there but still don't appear back on the 1080p monitor originally thought it might've been because I was running with 32gb of memory but with 64gb still same been happening for while so not version specific
Have you had others report that docks on SFCK aren't working with CKPE? I have a few dock layouts and my CK just sort of melts into a no-dock-paralysis when I try to install CKPE ;__;
I had this with the first version on CKPE and now the latest (I haven't updated CK yet)
Hi, Eli! ♥ No, I didn't know, but I guess I know why. CKPE uses its own space, in the original it is "CreationKitMainWindow". CKPE use "Creation Kit Starfield". That is why your window location settings are returned as they were before when you delete the mod. And it doesn't hang, they just don't exist for CKPE. You can customize the CKPE dock for yourself.
No need to upgrade yet, I have a lot of problems updating the mod, and new CK are sensitive changes and the previous versions will not work.
Edit: detailed look at QtCreationKitSavedSettings.ini
Hi Perchik! Yesterday, I verified the SF CK files via Steam (as my CK stopped working). Now the CreationKit.exe file properties are showing version 1.15.216.0 - and thatt is also being reported by the mod as an unsupported version.
What does the game versions have to do? For me ck no updated. Steam Beta... That's when the release will be, then we'll see (Then again, it's just a game).
Hi Perchik71, I saw someone comment that your CKPE version allows editing esm files. Doesn't CK already allow you to do that? When I edit esm files in CK it just saves all my edits as a new plugin. Unless your CKPE version saves all my edits onto the original esm file without creating a new plugin file. is this how CKPE works?
Is there a way to optimize the creation kit? For example, that it does not use 100% of the CPU at the time it loads? I feel like my cpu exploded when loading it
How much RAM can CK PE actually use? So far, just loading a ship mod with very minor dependencies, it is at just under 20GB. I have 256GB of RAM, and I was wondering if caching more things into RAM might speed it up a bit? My CPU is 5 years old, and not especially fast, though I do have fast SSD storage, and the CK is installed on a drive other than C. I've noticed that CK runs MUCH better with PE installed. Thanks for this!
How much RAM can CK PE actually use? - max 32GB for all occasions (open more plugins). But if there are functions for generating worlds, etc, according to tradition of Bethesda, eat all 200GB. if caching more things into RAM might speed it up a bit? - no. Because of the lack of VRAM, RAM is used, followed by Swap. Swap is not always a fast memory.
Ah. Thank you for the clarification. My GPU is also older, so I only have 24GB of VRAM. CK Platform Extended is so good that I just had to give you kudos! Happy 300!

The CK is just an ugly beast - and this helps tame it enough to make me want to create mods for this game.
Thank your for your hard work, and sharing it with the community.
i wonder if its intended to overwrite my localization language to english.
CKPE support direct edit .esm.
CKPE blocked original (bethesda) .esm from editing.
I've noticed that CK runs MUCH better with PE installed. Thanks for this!
